I paid over 30,000 which was above the written proposal which included a 2,000 increase with final payment. Not only was JP never here, he had his two young men do all the work without his supervision. The backsplash which he talked me into upgrading looks like someone took a hammer and put in. He scratched my new cook top, told me he would replace then didn't and tried, unsuccessfully to buff out and said he would take a small amount off the end price. Drawers were supposed to be automatic, of which not all are. Job was never completed, as of today and I paid in full, in good faith, expecting him to be honest and complete, as I upheld my part of the equation by writing the final check. Mistake. The kitchen island was cut and set a full inch off and will need to be redone. He tried to say it was because I had tile put on the island, however he has never come out or communicated what the issue was, and basically said it was my fault. The granite around the kitchen sink was also chipped and JP promised would make that right. None of which happened. I would never recommend his services, and was told never to text or call him again...not professional and childish. I did not have running water in the kitchen or bath for months, and between his personal issues as well as a trip to Hawaii, going out of town for other jobs, I had to beg him to even come out. and get as far as he did. The other issue was that JP would send painters and other workers I had never met into my home without anyone else being home. I asked many times that he not send anyone if I or he were not there, however neighbors and friends witnessed the men in and out of my home, paint for the kitchen and bath were decided upon the painters and himself with out my input...I travel for work and not one text with a picture asking for my opinion. I can not imagine anyone being happy with that kind of process and have learned I was naive and stupid for trusting someone like JP Cooper. He will promise you never want to leave your house. I can tell you that yes, he is correct on that, because I will now have to correct his mistakes with professionals who will take their jobs and my home seriously.
