COBBLESTONE QUALITY SHOE REPAIR

I have been coming to this place for years, since they were on the hard-to-get-to corner by the old Mrs. Baird's (they're not that easy to get to now, either). I took a pair of boots to get the heels replaced. Went back to pick them up 10 days later and the box matching my ticket contained somebody else's boots. So mine are lost and so are theirs. He said it could take days or even weeks to find them (assuming they actually look for them). My guess is I will never see them again. And they won't be seeing me again either.

Took my beautiful almost new pair of Ecco knee-high leather boots to be cleaned and polished. They were a gorgeous light reddish brown color that matched my leather purse. When I went to pick them up, they were an ugly dark dirt brown color. Also very dull with rough patches of polish on them. I asked if they had buffed them. They said, "Oh, you want them buffed? Well, I guess we could do that." So I had to come back several days later to pick them up. Now they are a shiny ugly dark dirt brown color. So I paid $20 to have my lovely $250 pair of boots ruined.

They are very friendly and do beautiful work.

When I dropped off the boots I asked that the work be done carefully and in line with the boots handmade quality. i was told that they were the top rated facility in Texas and not to worry! The work was average quality, but not of the quality that I was assured of.

It's the second time I've been there in the last couple of years and it will be the last. It's not the work. They do very good work. It's just that they consistently act like they're doing you a favor by doing things for you. I've never met a more brusque group than them. They're just not friendly or outgoing. Darn near rude. I love my shoes now. They're exactly the color I wanted. But, like I said, Ill go someplace else next time I need work done.

New soles were expensive but added at least another year of life to my husband's favorite dress shoes. Work was done well and within quoted time frame.

THEY DID VERY GOOD WORK AND CHARGED A FAIR PRICE. THEY FINISHED IT IN 2 DAYS - IN TIME FOR MY TRAVEL (THEY RUSHED IT FOR ME).
