Clive's thirty three year career in hairdressing began with an apprenticeship at Jingles International London. While with the company, he became a member of the Art team, splitting his time between the New York Academy, London academy, which he managed and traveling the world educating Hairdressers in places such as Europe, Hong Kong and North America. In 1985, along with business partner Shaun McCarthy, Clive moved to the U.S. together they opened Shaun and Clive in Dallas Texas. After 10 years in business, Clive ventured out on his own, opening Clive and Company in 1997. Clive's experience in both education and in the salon gave him the ability to successfully create a company based solely on service and quality. That ability still holds true today, as evidenced by Clive and Company’s consistent appearance as Best Salon in Dallas in D Magazine. In 2006, Clive was appointed Chairman of the Texas Cosmetology Advisory Board, a position he held for five years. He continues to stand as a firm pillar in the encouragement of the highest standards of knowledge and quality of service in the industry. Clive moved to a new location near the Dallas Galleria in December of 2006. His passion for architecture is reflected in the salon’s beautiful, modern, and elegant design.
