Marble and Granite Service, Countertop and Backsplash Service
Terrible experience. The countertop for the kitchen sink area cracked when the installer drilled the hole for the faucet. The reason that we were given for the crack was because the granite was Soft. The owner of the company tried to convince us that he could fix the crack so you could not see the crack or he could piece the section behind the sink creating 2 seams. CGFI stated that they could not and would not replace the cracked granite. We agreed to accept one of these fixes if he would apply a discount of $500. Then we discovered that the faucet holes were drilled too close to the sink to allow for a faucet to be installed. Filling in the crack looked terrible so while we were out of town, CGFI pieced the granite behind the sink and moved the hole back to allow for a faucet. Funny how the drilling the hole in the new piece did not crack it. When I got the bill, there were extra charges for cutting the sink which was never mentiond in my estimate and no discount.
