After having second thoughts. I went back to store and asked sales person again if he was sure table base would support 400 lb piece of granite. He then told me that he thought about it after he sold it to me, and expected it would work if I had someone weld additional material onto the base. At that point, not believing anything this guy was telling me, I canceled my order.
