2)Projection management - terrible. I had to supervise this job myself. Incompetent and arrogant group of folks. Think they are doing you a favor. They forget that you are paying them for a service.
3) Pay close attention to the contract you sign, make sure everything you requested is included. I would have your lawyer attend the signing. Do not use their "recommended" locals banks etc. Get your own. Do your own homework.
4) Beware of their "change requests" - they will use this as a way to justify how overdue their timeline is. Since "you" requested the change, the job "must" take longer to finish.
5) They do not keep their word and they are always chasing the next job. I think their sales pitch is also underhanded. You end up spending a lot more money than you intend to. Very crafty with their sales pitch and advertising, do not get sucked in.
6)Project ran way over time and they lost numerous items we purchased. Never got the feeling they cared that they were putting you out.
7) Nickel and dime you for everything they forgot. e.g. We had gutters before they started work - did not put them back up, acted as if we never had gutters and told us it would be a "change request" to have gutters put up.
8) They do not work on weekends and do not pay their subs to do so. You may think this is trivial, but if they do not show up for several days during the week, you can easily lose a whole week of work.
9) Many days with no inclement weather and no one showed up to work.
10) ****When the subs worked, they knocked so much out very quickly and their work was very good. I really want to stress that. The actual work was very well done. The house looks fantastic, but I would never work with that company again.
11) If you see their sign up in the neighborhood, knock on the door and speak to the owners yourself. Do not let them take you to sites themselves.
