Ayala's Landscaping & Tree Service

It was on rental property. I never met anyone. I got the estimate by text and approved it by text. I was going to meet and give them the check in person but due to a tornado warning we agreed I could mail the check. I appreciated that flexibility.

I live out of town but my daughter stays in the property so there was a little bit of communication problem with three people involved. We managed work it out. My Ayala sent me a picture of the work he had done and I was satisfied. Also, my daughter was pleasantly surprised when she returned home from work. I used the coupon that was offered. There's an additional charge for haul away but I was able to mail the check. I will definitely use them again.

I called Ayala on Friday and he came out and gave me an estimate right away and then came out on Monday to do the work. He was on time and prepared to work. It took him and his crew 41/2 hours to complete the job and thy did a great job. Very nice man, professional and on time. This was important to me because i want someone to be there at the time they say they will be.

After waiting a couple of days for a response - having bought a discount package, I called Mr. Ayala, who was very nice and said they were busy but would call soon to schedule. He did so soon afterward. He and his crew arrived on the date we decided on, punctually, and did the work in a flash. I think we went over the time that I had paid for, so I paid more, but the additional fee was very reasonable. The work was excellent: the crew stacked the debris on the curb very neatly, and so on. I did have to pay the additional amount by check (or cash). I do recommend and plan to hire the next time those trees need cutting back. Oh, and btw: se habla español.

Mr Ayala was punctual and professional when he came to see the job and provide a quote. He performed the job well and on time. His team did a great job.

They cleaned up nicely afterwards. We were satisfied with the results because it was hanging over our yard. They came and did what we wanted them to do.

Terrible service. I rarely ever leave a bad review for services but this one takes the cake. For this to be ranked as an "A" on Angie's List makes me never want to trust using Angie's list again. Inconsistent if they showed up at all. The first time was hopeful but then I would come home after a long weekend and then noticed that the yard was not mowed at all. In a 6 week timeframe, this has happened at least three times. I then asked the owner if he had sent the invoice and asked which day his men were tending to my yard. He let me know on Fridays but I knew it wasn't true because I would see my unkempt, unmowed yard the next day. Out of six weeks (we asked for weekly yard work), they might have mowed three times. The owner admitted after I noticed yet again that my yard was not tended to that he had "forgotten" and that he would have his people come by to mow the lawn. And of course, no one came. The owner then texted me that he was confused by my communication that I was going to hire another landscaping company after his last day of yard work for me...so he and his group didn't show up at all. Wow. Good luck hiring this group. I would never recommend.

Armando is professional, has a positive attitude and is a great guy. His pricing is also very fair.

The job Jose and his crew performed was excellent. They were professional, careful, took their time to do a good job, and then cleaned up afterwards. We couldn't ask for better, and will be employing Ayala's Landscaping and Tree Service again.

Jose and his helper Jose were absolutely great. Tripe AAA performance. Most responsive and flexible. Understood and quickly adapted to work plan as I requested. Will use again in the future.

Jose and his crew were able to accommodate me the next day and did a great job at a reasonable price. They are great to work with, will hire again.

They showed up at around 8:30 AM and worked until 3:00 PM. They worked hard at first but slowed down as the day went on probably due to the quantity of hard work. They did a good job and piled up all the tree stuff on the side of the road for bulk trash pickup. They ended up cutting me a deal for a reduced price on the labor beyond the quoted one since I was paying hourly. I would definitely hire them again, they were friendly and worked hard.

First appointment didn't happen on time but once I straightened that out when they came the work ethic was good and they were very polite. I would use them again. I had a lot of work done.

Missed deadwood because they came too late in the day to start the job. Trimmers terrified me by not being required to wear safety gear. Trimming was odd, but sufficient for my needs (no tree growth training apparent). Team went on vacation to mexico before fixing the deadwood problem, but they did come back 3 weeks later to fix the problem. Very cheerful, Mr. Ayala the only one to speak english, but it was good english. They cleaned up the yard well, but I wanted mulch for use around the yard....they don't have a mulcher....didn't rent one when requested. ($60/day)

Very prompt and courteous. Continually checked in to make sure that the amount of trimming was exactly what I wanted.

Mr. Ayala was very accommodating, working me in to his packed schedule. Since the tree was so big, it required a full day for the 4 man crew. I had already paid $800 through Angie's; Mr. Ayala said that he could do the entire job for $1100 total. That was very reasonable to me and I was so satisfied with their work, I hired them to cut down another rotting ash tree the next week. Removing both these trees has greatly eased my mind and I was very grateful that through Angie's List, I found someone that I could trust and did such an excellent job.

Jose arrived on time (on a Sunday) to give an estimate for the extensive tree trimming we needed done for trees on/off our property impacting our property. I initially thought his $1000 estimate (minus the $400 credit purchased via Angie's List for $200) was a bit high as we only needed three trees addressed ~ HOWEVER, all these trees were huge, and required climbing roofs/ trees to access, along with ropes all over the place. Additionally, our backyard (access point) is an obstacle course (cloth arbors, a shed, heavy potted trees, etc) ~ all of which they protected either by moving or by using ropes to keep their work from crashing onto our stuff. And finally, the three men crew (including Jose, the owner) arrived when scheduled (work was done yesterday/ Wed), and cleaned up our property beautifully. As bulk trash is imminent, the cost did not include hauling away the branches, but instead piled them all very neatly out front, leaving larger branches chopped in our backyard (as requested) all set for use in our chiminea (another one of our obstacles). I would absolutely use them again.

Most of the work was satisfactory. However, the main reason I hired them was to remove a tree and grind the stump. When they came back to do the work, they said they forgot that they were supposed to grind the stump and therefore didn't bring the grinder. They offered to dig the stump out instead. Now, a few months later, there are shoots coming up where the tree was. Apparently, the stump wasn't fully removed. I have since planted a flower bed over the area, so now I find myself continually pruning out the shoots.
