It was a terrible experience. First, Manteghi, the owner/principal of Axxium, told us that he was settling the lot to us at his cost, which we later found to be a lie. Then, the foundation that was poured for the house did not comply with recommended industry standards, and Manteghi seemed not to know the pertinent Dallas building code provisions when we later took his testimony. He charged us twice the amount that he spent on the foundation. Once we signed the construction contract and gave him a deposit, he was not prompt in returning our calls. We eventually sued him and his company. We later consulted with other builders about finishing the project, but all of them recommended that we start over with the foundation; none of them wanted to build on what Axxium / Manteghi had done.
