We bought this house under builder's warranty. About three weeks after the purchase, we experienced heavy rain in our area that caused major water leaks throughout our house, mainly around windows, and doors. Our floors started to buckle, several of our windows and door frames needed repair. In addition, we've noticed that some of the walls weren't straight, which was a result from bad construction. The builder quickly responded to our call the day we noticed the leaks, and promised that they will fix everything on our list. During the following three weeks, constructors came without notice, and mostly during the day. They fixed only parts of the drywall that had water discoloration, replaced frames, and then patched it all up with caulking. They've also fixed other misc. small items we mentioned. However, they've never followed through after their last job here. They still needed to paint a new door frame they installed, and fix the parts of the floors that buckled. Another thing, our 10 ft ceiling had paint discoloration as well because the builder ran out of paint, and when they repainted it they didn't bother to match the color correctly. We've called the builder and left messages, however, we've yet received any replies. I would say that this company uses cheap labor and poor construction, and then tries to cover up their flaws by even cheaper repairs. They cost us our time and possibly more money since we most likely will end up having to hire a handyman to repair everything else they've slacked on.
