Armor Inspections

3rd home inspection using Armor inspections. He is super detailed, punctual, professional and thorough. He identified problems in a previous inspections that helped us avoid thousands of dollars of mold remediation. He takes the time to explain any issues that may arise. I have recommended him to friends and family and all have been happy with his services. I highly recommend Armor inspections

Jay was great. Thorough, helped us understand what was needed in order of importance, put things in context. Spent a lot of time talking with us. Smart. We recommend him without hesitation.

Jay's service and assistance were spectacular. He gave us balanced information and explained items we might not be familiar with. He spent more time than he had scheduled, making sure all of our questions were answered. At the end of the inspection, I felt very confident that everything that could be inspected had been examined and explained. As an added bonus, I learned several things about our old home that were just interesting and fun. He even found a hidden feature that had been overlooked by all of us and provided a fun glimpse back to WWII days. Jay was a pleasure to meet and work with. I highly recommend him!

Jay was very easy to deal with, informative, honest, but not in an overly negative way. He went out of his way to discuss what he knew about the neighborhood that the houses were in, the various deficiencies, and even some unofficial suggestions on what it might take to make repairs and upgrades myself, or by a contractor, which were invaluable in my negotiation process. I would certainly recommend him to anyone in the Dallas area that needs a trustworthy and competent inspector.

Jay was very thorough in his inspection of the property.  He took the time to explain exactly what he was doing and why it was relevant to our potential purchase of the home.  Every window was opened and every outlet was tested.  Jay also made several suggestions on maintenance and upkeep that could prevent potential problems.  I would not hesitate to use Armor Inspection again or recommend them to anyone.

We hired Armor Inspection to inspect a home we have under contract that was built in 1979. Jay did an amazing job. He is thorough, careful, efficient, charming, and knowledgeable. Jay presented his findings in a way that gives us perspective, which helped us understand which issues need to be addressed immediately and which are expected with a 35 year old home. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Jay. I typically give good reviews to the people I find on Angie's list because I'm usually very satisfied. But there needs to be a rating above 'A' for Jay.

1. He knows tons about houses - especially old houses.

2. He was patient and thorough with my partner who's never lived in an older home. He explained everything to him in great detail.

3. I was selling my home at the same time and Jay offered to review the feedback we received from that inspection because we felt some of it was questionable. So he as able to reassure and educate another set of homeowners buying their first historic home

4. After we moved in to the newly renovated home we noticed some issues. We weren't sure if they were typical or concerning. Jay came back out to the house and immediately identified the issue. The contractor had taken some shortcuts and the flooring and foundation was not stable. Despite evidence that these defects were deliberately masked so that they were not visible, Jay was as devastated as we were - and felt that he had let us down.

5. Even though there was NO WAY that he could ever have seen the issue, his pride in his work and professional reputation demonstrated itself in his response. Even though it was not a defect that he created OR that he could ever have found, he spent the day at our house in the crawlspace underneath the house documenting the issue, looking under every possible board, beam, etc. AND providing us with a temporary fix so that we could stay in the house without the risk of doing further damage.

Sadly you don't run across people with so much integrity and pride in workmanship but Jay exceeds even the highest bar we could have set for him.
