American Home shield

I truly pray anyone seeking to use AHS reviews this before doing so. DO NOT!!!!!! I've had for 2 years (yes ignorant to renew after the first incident, but please read and dont make the same mistake!) and it has been a nightmare to get service. First incident involved plumbing. The plumber the sent came to our home.....looked at the toilet (and i do mean literally looked).....sat on my toilet seat....and said "yeah its the [condo] buildings problem....Bruh! What! lol like get out sir! Then recently, the AC unit goes down (we are in Texas, so you know its real)....these folks had 3 contractors that cancelled or didnt have the right Certs, or just wouldn't work on the units. So i called to cancel my plan, they said we will reimburse for another vendor.......they in fact DID not reimburse. I just paid out of pocket lol. STAY AWAY. H*** just watch youtube videos, you'd be better off. AHS is horrid.

HORRIBLE!!!! This company is a Scam! You pay your monthly bill and when something happens they send a company that submits and overpriced replacement and charge the home owner a $1207 out of pocket expense. Then, when you complain and refuse to pay that amount they send a second company for another opinion. In this case the second company gave a fair $678 out of pocket price but American Home Shield will not allow them to do the replacement even though this is one of THEIR approved companies. Instead, they give you the ultimatum to either pay the first company's $1207 or take the cash out option which is only $470 and use whoever you want. The $470 is not enough to even replace the water heater, much less the install which is what my warranty covers. This company is a rip off with poor customer service and good luck getting someone on the phone that speaks or even understands English. RUN... DO NOT USE!!!

It was excellent, but there are extra fees on it

Horrible. We have paid $70 per month ($800 per year) for 6 years because we have an old system. They wanted to replace the part but left $1000 for me to pay for uncovered expenses. The company said it was about a $2000 repair. Which is ridiculous for a system that old esp when the r22 freon will be finally phased out in January. When i asked how much credit I would receive if I wanted to replace the system, they said $245. Don’t count on your warranty coming through.
