AM Moving Company

**Does not know where your stuff is being stored** We hired AM Moving Company to move us from Dallas to Houston, as well as store our belongings until we found a house in the interim. We paid $2500 in total for both moves and storage. We moved out of our house in Dallas on December 5th, 2021. We were told our belongings were in lockers #499 and #564. On February 26th, 2022, one-fourth of our belongings were delivered to Houston. We were told these were the belongings in locker #499, but locker #564 was empty. When asked where our stuff was, AM Moving Company had no idea. We searched through all of the lockers the moving company had rented out in the facility to no avail. We were missing items totaling $35,000 – both material items and invaluable ones (my wedding dress, items belonging to my late grandmother, etc.) We had to beg the storage facility to look through the “red lock” lockers – ones that had not been paid for 3 months and would be put up for auction. On Tuesday, February 28th, the remainder of our belongings were found in a “red lock” locker. Our belongings were moved to Houston on March 2nd. When asked about a potential refund, David (owner) told us that it “was an honest mistake,” and asked why he “should lose $2500 when we got all of our stuff back?” Not taking into account that we paid AM Moving Company to safely store our belongings and they had no idea where they were being stored. I also had to miss work to go to Dallas to sort this all out. If our move had been delayed even another few days (which was probable given it’s a new construction), our items would have been put up for auction.

hired this company before and it went well so i hired them again, bad mistake. movers were slow and it cost me an additional $300 for the move. Also I noticed they damaged my dresser in the back..DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!! quality of service has declined.

As most of you are aware, hiring a moving company is very stressful. We are on tight deadlines and time is of the essence. Well, here is a kudos story. Not only were my guys ontime [(Omar-Lead), Jaime, Jose B], the were professional and asks questions to not only enhance my move experience, but to facilitate a seamless move. I have moved across country east/west and north/south on many occasions. This was by far my best experience yet.

They scratched the **** out of the walls in our old house because they insisted that the furniture should be wrapped and covered in the truck. This also resulted in scratching of many pieces of our furniture. It took them 3 hours to load our belongings and it was just a two bedroom townhome in which literally everything was packed. I have never so much as had a scratch with other movers and they did it much quicker with only two guys vs the 3 that we had this time. They took smoke breaks and singing breaks. I don't know how they have good reviews, the cost was good but as the adage goes " you get what you pay for".

The move went well. The manager called afterward and accused me of deceiving him because the move took 2 hours longer than he planned. I had an email trail showing him exactly what was required.

I loved them. ?They were great. ?They moved me twice, once when I staged my home. I was moving into a 3,400 square foot house, so it was a lot of stuff. I called another moving company and they didn't show up. ?I called them back and they said they would be there tomorrow, promise. ?And they didn't show up. ?I called AM and they told me they would be there the next day and they were.

They were great, they were very professional and handled everything with kid glove care. I am in Real Estate and they were the best that I have ever used.

Our decision to use AM Moving Company for our move was the best decision we could have made. The guys were quick, thorough, professional, and were so good, we plan on requesting the same crew when we move again in a few months. GREAT service! I would hire these guys again and again - but hope I don't move anytime soon! Anthony, Freddie and Cooper were all very professional and dedicated to doing a job that was above and beyond. They were a great team and it was THE best moving experience ever all due to them. The best part - and I wish I'd taken a video - was when they hoisted my side-by-side refrigerator OVER a granite counter to get it in place....WOW!  THANK YOU gentlemen - you ROCK!!!

The movers worked very hard and fast but were very careful with our things!  They were very polite and honest guys.  I am definitely going to hire this company again!

My parents were moving out of their 2500 sq ft home and we found AM Moving Company on both Yelp and Angie's List.  They were our first choice but were booked that Tuesday.  Luckily, Mr. Rusty notified me of a cancellation and we were able to book them :).  The 3 men who arrived--Mr. Cesar (lead mover), Mr. Navid, and Mr. Isreal--were friendly, hardworking, and had the best manners!    They had great chemistry working together, and wasted no time, as every minute was spent working until the job was complete.  With great care (like they were handling babies), they properly took apart & wrapped furniture, lifted heavy things, and organized both the moving truck and the storage unit to maximize space.  The 3 men maintained a genuinely upbeat demeanor despite the physical work under the Texas heat (80-90 degrees that day!).  We were all impressed by their professionalism, efficiency, and positive attitude.  The moving process is an emotional process and physically taxing, but we were so happy to have AM Moving Company and particularly these 3 men help us.  We highly recommend them and will definitely use them again.

The three gentlemen who moved us (Lee, Adrian, and Louis) were all very polite! There were a couple items that they had trouble maneuvering up the tight staircases, and ended up messing up some of the walls trying to do so. They were honest about it though and pointed out the minor damage immediately. We are currently renting, so I can't say any amount of damage from moving will fly when we move into our new home but, all in all, we would use AM Moving Company again. 

I requested a quote from AM Moving a few months before our move.  They responded very quickly.  A few days before our move, I still hadn't booked anyone and was frantically calling the best rated movers I could find on Yelp.  Most of them were expensive, and others were already booked.  I started to panic, and that's when I decided to e-mail AM Moving company to see if they had any availability.  Lucky for me, they did!  Again, they responded quickly, and said they had an opening at 9am.  I replied back immediately to book the time.  They again responded right away with a confirmation.  They also offered the best rate ($95 per hour, 3 men, 3 hour minimum, $40 fuel charge) compared to all the other companies ($100-$125 per hour) I had called.  The day of our move, I received a call from Miguel letting me know that they were a few minutes away.  They arrived right at 9am.  As soon as Roman walked into our apartment, he noticed all of our brand new boxes.  He gave me a tip and told me to check Craigslist next time because people are always giving away free boxes!  The guys were all very friendly, they worked fast, were extremely careful with all of our belongings, and were very sweet to my 4 year old daughter.  I was so nervous about the move, but am so happy that we got a great team to help us.  We are only here for 6 months while we build our house and will be moving again.  I made sure to get their business cards and names before they left so that I can request them again in November.  These guys were amazing!  You won't be disappointed!  Be sure to request ROMAN, MIGUEL AND FREDDIE!!!!  They will take great care of you!

They were on time.  Didn't want me to lift a finger.  Had things packed up nice and neat.  They were friendly and very professional.  Such an amazing company and great people that work for them.  You can tell they take their job very seriously and have no issue with helping you have a smooth move.  So going to use them again.

Guys were great and fast.

Overall it went well.  I am sure this is not a regular service but they did fine.  My customer only had good things to say about the crew.  A surprising thing was the very good handwriting on the inventory they made for us.

Communications was about 4 or so, but then again, I am very concerned and cannot have a mistake on a move like this.
