Provider was responsive at first, worked to get landscaping scheduled in a decent amount of time, and did regularly scheduled weekly maintenance. When we requested changes due to poor installation and / or requested upgrades to the regular service - we seemed to be at the bottom of the list of their priorities. For example, we tried for 8 months to move from mowing/trimming service to full service (we were literally trying to give them more business). Additionally, instead of replacing dead trees that were under warranty, they removed the trees, and then sent us an invoice to pay for new ones.

TOTAL LAWN CARE come every two weeks. I would consider using them in the future. They can be a little more careful about mowing.

On a previous occasion I had asked them for a bid to do some demo and new landscaping. Michael came by and got the information on what I wanted done. Three other landscaping services also came by to view what I wanted bids on. Within a week I had bids from the other three landscapers. A week later after calling Total and finally having Michael return my call, he advised the bid was ready and only needed his bosses approval, and I would hear back from him that same day before close of business. About a week later I finally contacted Michael again and he advised he had not called back because he felt he could not be competitive with his bid. Their lawn maintenance crew was about average, but would not trim and edge as I asked, continually trimming grass farther and farther from the edges of sidewalks, driveways, and landscaping, until a large gap of bare dirt was evident. I removed all trimming and edging from their scope of work. The other problem that couldn't be resolved was the ruts their machines left in the lawn. Because of poor communication and failure to address lawn maintenance issues I felt it best to end our working relationship. I regretted this because I originally enjoyed working with Ron and Beverly.

I never had to give the guys any instructions and when I transfered the service to my new home in Katy which has more obstacles to mow around, they have continued to do a fine job. When I need extra services like trimming the hedges, I just email or call ahead and they usually do it the following week. I haven't asked for landscaping service but will give them that opportunity either this fall or next spring. In the 2+ years, I've had one communication type problem which was corrected.

The owner came to my residence to give me an estimate for mowing and trimming my backyard. I wanted some dirt for a flower bed and dirt over some exposed tree roots that appeared as a result of the prolonged drought. He quoted me a price of $1200 which I knew was high but he had good reviews and I expected a professional job. He was very rude and let me know that my small residential yard was not what he usually worked on and he was doing me some kind of favor. With misgivings I still went ahead and allowed him to do the work. Two workers showed up on time and did cut the yard and trimmed it and put a very small amount of dirt down to resemble a flower bed and a little dirt around the tree roots. The yard was scattered with debris when they left and I got home and looked at it. They left while I had run to do an errand. Water bottles, crumpled paper was all over a corner of the yard. I'm sure I would have had a better job done if the owner had deemed my yard worthy, but he did get $1200 for not very much.

We were on vacation and so they came out now to do the work. It’s easy to get them out at the last minute to do work for us usually. They bag up the grass which I like. They use smaller mowers which mow the grass closer which we prefer. They also have the big ones but they also use the small ones if you ask them to. Their price was average. Their price is the same as what everyone else charges. It’s no different from anyone else and so I guess their price is excellent. It’s no more than anybody. We will use their services again in the future.

They come in as a crew and they do everything quickly. They are very courteous.

Total Lawn Care answered my call promptly and followed up readily with an estimate and installation. They were very reasonable with their prices, and were able to explain the specific installation procedure and give us a demonstration of the sprinkler system operation. The installation was scheduled as soon as a day and time were set, and the landscapers were on time. They installed the pipe underneath the sidewalks and ran it out to the street. They also mowed the lawn, trimmed, bagged up the grass, blew it off the driveway, and left the yard in immaculate condition.

Total Lawn Care comes out every week and keeps our yard looking nice. They do all the mowing, edging, and weed eating in my yard. We are happy with their work. I will continue to use them because since the first time I called them, they have continued to do a good quality job of my lawn care.
