Description of Work: Quint Guidy is the best for just about any home remodeling or handyman job. He specializes in kitchen and bath remodeling, wood floors, and finish carpentry, but he excels at almost everything. He is the kind of guy who can fix anything where other contractors have gotten over their heads. Quint is highly competent, has excellent integrity and excellent business practices. He treats all of his customers like they are his friends. He has recently added his son to his business. Quint has worked on many commercial and high-end jobs for many years. Here a few of the general handyman things that he has done for us, and provided an outstanding job: 1) Quint matched and replaced a side of our kitchen cabinet that was destroyed with a backsplash demo. He matched the wood finish himself, rather than elevating the bill by running all over town to find an outside expert to do it. 2) Quint refinished a badly scuffed front door with two different tones of wood finish, so that it looks like it is very expensive. It is hard to describe, but our neighbors immediately wanted Quint to refinish their door. 3) Quint fixed our moldy shower. Countless other workmen over the years had built and tinkered with a leaky shower, then sealed in the leaks with waterproof silicone sealer which kept retaining mold which could not be removed. Quint gave us an analysis of the construction flaw that was causing the leaks. He then gave us options to completely rebuild the shower to replace the faulty construction, or to replace the silicon with breathable grout that we could routinely spray with some bleach, if the leak was a minor one. 4) Quint has done routine electrical work to install new light fixtures, replace wall outlets ,and to create new wall outlets. Hidden under our demo’d backsplash, was a single electric box, and 2 outlets. The original contractor wanted to charge us $350 to install an extra box and repair and paint the sheetrock. Quint gave us a cheap, cheap option to simply convert the supported outlet to a plug/switch combo. 5) Over the years, Quint has saved us from several plumbing emergencies, where he quickly fixed an unexpected plumbing leak, pulled up carpet, etc. 5) Quint replaced our back door which had some rotten wood. We liked the original door, and Quint located, installed, and painted an identical one . 6) Other jobs too numerous to mention
