lJustin first came to survey the project and prepare a proposal/ bid.  His proposal, delivered via email about a week later, was very extensive and described the job process, materials needed, and labor involved.  He estimated three days for the job.
This is the process detailed in his proposal:
First Day: "We remove the existing rock, gravel, liner and bricks that were used to construct the
original pond. We will salvage the rock and gravel for use in the new pond. Once the area is back to an “empty
canvas” we pour 2 parallel concrete beams that will become the foundation for the sides of the stream." " The concrete beam provides several purposes. First, the concrete provides a stable foundation for the rock to set on. This will prevent rocks from settling into the ground in the future creating low spots in the liner. Second, the concrete acts as a leveling device. Since the top of the concrete will determine water level in the stream we can pour the concrete with a slight elevation. We can also pour a second elevation in the stream which will allow us to create a small spillway mid way through the stream. Once poured, the concrete will need to cure over night."
Second Day: "Once the concrete has cured the liner is installed. The liner that we use is a 45mil EPDM liner. This liner
has a 20 year manufacture warranty and a life expectancy of 50-60 years. These are very durable liners that are
very resistant to tears or punctures. Once the liner is in place we begin placing rocks around the perimeter and
interior of the pond. I do like to mortar a majority of the rocks in place. This insures that the rocks can safely be
walked on and that the rocks will stay in place over time."  "The mortar will need to cure overnight."
Third Day:  "Once the mortar has cured, we can turn the stream on and check for leaks. At that point any excess liner can be trimmed away. We may also want to bring in some additional flower bed soil to disguise the edges of the stream and make the stream look more natural."
This exactly the way it went.  I was consulted all along the way regarding the shape of the stream, placement of the rock, and the overall look of the final project.
Junstin and his crew were extraordinarily professional.  His work could be viewed as artistic.  I am immensely happy and satisfied with the final project.  The stream looks beautiful, even on this gloomy January day.
BTW:  I first discovered Pond Pros two years ago when I decided that I no longer wanted to clean my pond myself.  Justin did a better job then than I did myself--which really impressed me.  He is very knowledgeable about pond issues--including fish, plants and pond construction.
