He began a job for us that he said would be completed in a few weeks. He began job 1/7/2015,as of this posting 7/15/2015 he has yet to finish. He was suppose to install a seamless glass shower door (which we paid for upfront). He kept coming up with excuses on why the job has been stalled. After some pressure he admitted that he had spent all of our money and could not finish the job. We then came up with plan to let him work off the money he still owed us for the shower door which never materialized and complete the unfinished items. .He declined our offer- said it would take too much of his time. We have been using our partially completed shower with a $2.00 shower curtain and several items have not been completed, but paid for. Lastly, the floor he put down in the master bath is now cracking. He owes us almost $4000.00 at this point.
Rick worked on the renovation or our current home after completing work at our previous home to get it ready for sale. Our realtor originally suggested Rick and my husband and I, being competent "do-it-yourselfers" were reluctant to use anyone. However, we were under a time constraint and decided to use Rick. He did a great job and we have never looked back! For the first home project, the realtor suggested two additional companies, one for granite and one to paint the kitchen cabinets. Rick quoted both of those jobs as well. Again, his prices were the best and the quality of work was great.
When we moved to the new house, we weighed the options of taking out time and doing the renovation work ourselves or letting Rick handle the projects. Again, his prices were great and we could not be happier with the final product.
With job bids, Rick is no pressure, he bid each item individually allowing us to select which items he would do and which we would do.
I would absolutely recommend Rick and use him again. In fact, we are scheduling him to finish out our garage!
I ended up hiring another contractor to fix his poor plumbing and tile work and spend a bunch more money to finishthe project.
"In response to the review. The project was never given a time frame to complete. i was actually leasing the house from the individual and was having to do repairs due to the fact that the owner could not get someone out their in a timely manner to do repairs that were a safety issue to my family. I asked repeated times to have electrical box repaired but nothing, as well as, a hot tub that sat on second story deck rotting, for almost 1yr.. It took me giving a notice to vacate in order for the repairs to get worked on. This time frame in completely unacceptable, and myself and family were no longer going to be taken advantage of. Thank You.."
