Average at best. With the referral coming from Costco and the cost coming from Amarr I would have expected a better experience. The quote took multiple exchanges for Jacobs to pick up the correct changes. If you are the buyer, please take the time to review every quote as if it were a new document. The installation is subcontracted (they left that part out during the sales pitch) One person shows up to install double wide door with an immovable car in the garage (stated before delivery). I spent about an hour helping the installer lift the doors off of the truck and set the door. Installation time was on the order of 6 hours. No follow up from Jacobs to review the installation upon project completion.

We have used this company in the past and it was great but not this time. The installation was not done correctly on 2 of the doors. When I pointed out that the packaging tape was not removed the supervisor didn't even care. Now my third door is not working. Keep in mind all three doors are a couple of months old and we are waiting on them to return a phone to schedule the fourth or fifth repair service call. I'm not sure what has happened but this is NOT the same company I used many years ago.

Needed a new circuit board for my Liftmaster garage door opener. Took my old one in and told them that I needed a replacement. I made sure to take the old one in since they do not accept returns. I installed the new circuit board and my garage door worked again but the pin pad outside the garage and the clickers I had would not program. I did research on the unit he sold me and the circuit that he sold me was way older than the one that I originally had so the pin pad and clickers that I have are not compatible with the older model. This is a garage door place it's not Sears so clearly they KNEW that they were giving me a older model and failed to tell me that I would have to purchase new clickers and a new pin pad. When I went back to tell them they sold me a older circuit board and failed to tell me that I would have to purchase new clickers and pin pads, they said they would give me one to try and if it worked I could purchase it for an additional $50. This is the worst customer service I have ever received and would never ever recommend this place to anyone! I will drive 50 miles next time if I have to instead of driving to this place that is 2 miles down the road from my house. BEWARE THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!! They sold me outdated material for the same price that I could of gotten a new updated one for!!

16ft by 7ft garage door came off the tracks Sunday night.

Made the call to Jacobs Monday morning April 04.

They asked details about the garage door which I provided.

Scheduled  a morning appointment for Tues April 05 with a

range of time between 9a to 1p.  Service man  called at 930a

and arrived by 945a.   Fast, enthusiastic, professional service.   

I put zero for price because the  price depends on what you

need done.

Our automatic garage door opener had stopped working after an extended power outage. I called for an appointment and the technician was able to come out the following time. We were told up front that the cost of the service call would be $95, with cost of any parts on top. They turned up on time, diagnosed the issues quickly and resolved the problems. Very satisfied.

The only problems were that I never received a call letting me know what time the installer would show up and when he did he did he did not have the part. He had to go get it but was back within an hour and did a great job. Very nice and professional.

I called some other providers to do the work, but this provider had the most reasonable price and it's family owned. I think they are great and that they do good work. They are also close to my home.

I left messages on phone 3 times over 2 months and didn't receive a call back, although neither did Garage Doors of Houston who services this area. Maybe this review will prompt a return phone call to me. I am a disabled vet and unable to install garage door opener myself. I live 4 miles north of Magnolia.

They were good. They were extremely helpful and came out within the next business day to fix it. They replaced the door within one day.

I have used them for many years and they have been able to fix our door. They pretty much come at the time they say they will.

The first trip out they installed them incorrectly (still worked though), and came out in October to install correctly. Very professional. Nice looking doors.

Friendly phone personality, but unorganized, and no follow-through. No work ever done because they never showed up!

The Technician diagnosed the problem with the door opener within 5 minutes and had it fixed within 15 minutes of arrival. He showed me the problem and how to repair it. He was very professional and proceeded to lubricate the doors after completing the repair problem. Contacts on one of the door opener sensors had rusted and all he needed to do was remove the rust and readjust the range of the door opening and closing. The door opener is now working in the correct way.

Discovered about 1:30 PM that garage door would not open and saw that the spring was broken. Had used Jacobs in the past for service and parts with good results, so gave them a call. Due to prior commitments on our part, we only had about a 45 minute window late in the afternoon when we could be home to let them in. Jacobs was very accomodating and scheduled the repair to fit our schedule. The technician called to let us know he would be about 5 to 10 minutes late but would be able complete the job within the time window we had. The tech was very friendly and efficient and met the time commitment with a few minutes to spare. Very good experience.
