Very well. The owner of Colter Reid Enterprises personally vetted and supervised subs for the specialty work. His insistence on quality, timeliness, clean up at the end of the day were top notch. Bath rebuilds are not inexpensive, but material quality and pricing were my choice and he offered options to manage the cost.

The finished product was just what we hoped for and overall we are very pleased. There were no hidden costs and any changes from the original estimate resulted from additional requests that we added during the remodeling process, which amounted to less than 10% of the original estimate. All the subcontractors were professional and did precise work and completed their jobs in timely fashion.
We did have one subcontractor stay late one night to finish their work, but that was an easy accomodation on our part. While clean up efforts at the end of each days work was generally very acceptable, we did have to perform some very light clean up after a couple of the subcontractors. This was light clean up and in no way detracted from our level of satisfaction. We had a miscommunication on who was to acquire the accent lighting and then on short notice Colter Reid stepped up, acquiring the lighting fixtures to keep the electrician on task and to keep the schedule from slipping.
The duration of the remodeling work was three weeks when it was originally anticipated to take two weeks to complete. The extended duration was readily understandable in that a two day holiday fell within the range of the project and there was special trim that had to be arranged for in order to finish out four kitchen cabinet doors. The wallpaper was damaged during master bath remodeling work and when all other work was completed Colter Reid fixed this to our satisfaction.
Colter Reid delivered as they said they would, and we are very satisfied recipients of their fine works. We know we'll be enjoying our new kitchen and baths for a very long time.

He is a general contractor and brings other people in. The work and detailing went very well. We had them do some painting and staining stuff which I was not as pleased with that work. I didn't want to do the work myself but if I would then I have done better job on some of the things. They did an excellent job when I paid them to completely remove varnish and stain and refinished something but if it was painting or touching up or trying to help restore my cabinets; then it didn't work as well. I will still give them a good rating but not an excellent rating. The plumbing service was great. If it was for regular painting then they did a fine job but not for staining and my kitchen cabinet. I will also give a good rating for the electrical and plumbing service.

Charles did an excellent job, from getting there on time for the initial estimate through completion of the roofing. On the morning they started the job his crew showed up at exactly the scheduled time and began work. The total scope included new roofing paper, new shingles (Gaf Timberline HD), replacement of powered vents, new drip edge and new ridge vents.
The crew worked very quickly and completed the 2650 sq. ft. main house and detached 4 car garage in a single day. At the end of the day they cleaned up the entire area around the house and garage, nothing was left out of place.
The estimate was as low as anyone else, about $5000 lower than the highest estimate, but the work was all first class. I'd highly recommend Colter Reid for any work and we will be having them back to install new gutters and paint the exterior of the house.

Colter Reid completed a 3800 SF house remodel for me. The entire house was first demo. I had all walls in house retextured and painted. The existing wood paneling was sanded and stained. All the floors in the in the house were redone using tile. wood and carpet. Every cabinet in the house was custom built on site and painted to my chosen design and color. Cabinetry was done in kitchen, 4 bathrooms, entertainment centers, window seat, walk in closet, and built in desk. New crown molding, base molding and door casing were installed and painted though out the house. The existing solid wood doors were repainted and new hardware was installed. Ethernet cables were pulled though out house to create a network system. Electrician added lighting where needed, replaced all light fixtures, and replaced all light switched in house. The two story brick fireplace was covered with stone. A large sliding glass door was converted to french doors. All sinks and faucets replaced. Custom shower was built in two baths. Granite, quartz, and marble counter tops installed in house. All appliances installed. The front door was replaced.
Outside work included: gutters, outdoor fence, and remote control iron gate. A porch was added which included and outdoor kitchen. The kitchen included a built in gas grill, sink, cooler system nd granite counter tops. Also included in the porch were ceiling fans and speaker system.
I interviewed 8 contractor companies for my large project. From the first meeting with Charles I felt like he listened and understood what I wanted done. After the first meeting he called me with detailed questions while working on the estimate. When I received the estimate it included everything we had discussed for the work. One of the major deciding factors in me choosing Colter Reid for the work was that Charles remembered what I wanted done and did not waste my time with questions we had already discussed. The management of my large project was done very well. From start to finish it took 11 weeks. Charles can complete any remolding you may have. He used many different tradesmen during my remodel. I had no issues with extra charges.
I used angie's list to contact contractors and read reviews for many of the estimates I received. Colter Reid was not on Angie's list at that time which made me a litttle nervous, but he did a great job for me. I would would recommend him to everyone for any kind of remodeling job, big or small.
