Phil does not take advantage and he are honest. They will let me know what jobs can wait. They also try to work within my budget. Their prices are reasonable and they never try to under change me either. I know they are going to do a good job.

My car was running very rough. They took a look at it and found a loose wire. They did not charge me for the service call.

I was dying of the Texas weather having recently moved here from a beach community in California and the car I was driving AC unit was not working. The people at Angels Auto Center thoroughly checked it out and gave me a written form of all the parts and labor needed to make it good as new. They gave me a time it would be done and called me when it was. I liked the cleanliness of the whole garage and the really personable employees whotook the time to answer all my concerns. They have been in the business for many years and you can tell that taking the best care of the customer is # 1 priority.

The module was definitely defective, as the ABS light would come on intermittently, so they replaced it with a rebuilt one, as they said a new one would eventually have the same problem (there apparently is a design issue with this particular make/model of ABS system). They pulled 2 spark plugs and checked those, but concluded that the engine did not need a tuneup (spark plugs should last 100K miles). They also checked the leakdown rate of the fuel pressure from the fuel pump to the engine and concluded that the rollover valve in the return line was leaking a little bit. The spec allows for 20 psi of pressure loss in 15 minutes, but my vehicle was only experiencing 10 psi loss in 15 minutes, so they said to just keep doing what I have already been doing (turn ignition key to On for 2 seconds to allow fuel pressure to build up, then Start). Pulling the fuel tank and replacing or repairing this part would be rather expensive, so the "work-around" will save me a bunch of money on a 12-year old vehicle!

I have taken my cars - a 2001 Honda Odyssey and a 1992 Nissan 300ZX - to Angel's since moving to Cypress in July 2010. THey have always been courteous, absolutely fair, and have done excellent work to keep my older cars running smoothly.

In the most repair, I took the Odyssey in when the check engine light appeared. Todd checked the code being sent, said it was an oxygen sensor, reset it so the light went off, suggested I keep driving and bring it back if the light re-appeared soon. No charge.

The light reappeared within a week, so I took the Odyssey back to Angel's. They replaced one oxygen sensor. End of problem.

Earlier repairs:
Front end alignment and replace front driver's side inner fender liner - $196
Machine front rotors, replace pads, replace 1 brake cylinder - $270
Replace right rear suspension control arm - $560

The Nissan 300ZX, a much older car and a sensitive vehicle to repair:
Replace #4 injector and shudder valve and control hose - $730
Front end alignment - $82

I have used Angels for years because they only do what is required and they offer you options as far as alternatives for repair and they don't do any work that doesn't need to be done. They offer fair pricing and good work. The customer service they offer is great.

Aligned the front end on my 1992 Nissan 300ZX, and often touchy and temperamental sports car. Excellent work, finished when promised.
