Watermark took very good care of us, in a time when materials were scarce and so were laborers. Ben always checked in on the work and if it wasn't to our satisfaction, he would make sure to fix whatever needed fixing. Would recommend and would work with again!

We contracted with Watermark to gut and completely renovate our masterbath, lay new wood flooring in our home office, as well as refresh the gust bath. As with any project like this, we ran over the projected finish date, but that was not on Watermark. Logistics with materials and the usual unknowns encountered with working on a 60+-year old home will do that. But I have to say, the teams working in the house were very conscientious about demolition, clean up, attention to detail, and, the ever-joyful punchlist. The outcome of their work really turned out well. The bath is stunning, the office looks great, and the guest bath really feels new. Ben was so great to work with and patient with our decision-making process, and he gave good counsel when we hit a crossroad or two. I'd definitely use Watermark again.

Watermark Restoration remodeled all of the common areas (kitchen, breakfast room, study, dining room, and living room) in my home in Spring, Texas, in in 2007. Their workmanship was of the highest caliber, and I was so pleased with the outcome that I hired them again in 2017. My home inside the 610 Loop in Houston flooded during Hurricane Harvey, and Watermark Restoration completely renovated every room in the house. The work was done very professionally, and once again, I was completely happy with the outcome. Watermark Restoration went above and beyond to rebuild my home and I'm completely happy with the result.

Watermark Restoration does excellent work. They are very customer oriented. They have great finish and detail work. They are excellent craftsmen. They finish on time and we were very pleased with the final outcome of the project. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

We retained Watermark Restoration in the spring of 2019 to repair and refurbish my parent’s home in SW Houston Texas. The work was of the highest quality, done in a timely manner and completed on budget with no cost surprises. The project manager was highly professional and easy to work with. We were so pleased we hired them again in the fall of 2019 to refurbish our home before we put it on the market.

Watermark Restoration was a dream to work with! They redesigned our floor plan to match our dream home - moving stairs, finishing out the garage, creating bedrooms where there were none, and adding character and charm. Terry and his crews were professional, thorough, thoughtful, and respectful of our space and our family throughout the whole process. Our home has the look and feel of a fully custom home with high-end finish outs including a bullet ice machine, a dog wash station, custom cabinets and built-ins, French-doors, and more. We would love to work with them again!

One of us (won't say who) set fire to the kitchen cabinets while cooking bacon. We needed not only new custom cabinets, but it was time to replace the 80's linoleum, backsplash and sink. Terry with Watermark provided an excellent, professional quote that went line by line and covered every detail. They did an excellent job and we are thrilled with the results. Highly recommend.

Budget: Didn't hold true to quote. Kept finding things that they "forgot" to add to the initial quote. Example: If you're re-tiling a shower the initial quote should include all the materials to do the tiling. There were material selections that went over and under the initial budget and the price was adjusted. There were also scope additions. Kept trying to bill me twice saying things like yes it says renovate the bathroom, but I forgot to include materials on the quote, now I'm adding them. Schedule: They were running behind schedule then hurricane Harvey hit. There were several workers affected by the flooding and it was understandable that work would stop for a few weeks. However, they wouldn't return calls, when asking what is the plan and when will work resume. It took a month and a half to get workers back in the house. After that they would only put one guy by himself in there and that is when the quality of the workmanship went way down. Horrible planning Examples: Shower pan in the master bath was built and tiled without considering the dimensions of the new tub. They "made it work" so the shower is functional, but it looks horrible. Ordered and installed shower glass before they were done with the tile work so they worked tile and grout/calk in under the glass. Tile work: Could never get anything right. They grouted every seam where it is supposed to caulked. It cracked withing days of completing the work. Rather than remove the grout they simply applied a thin layer of caulk which cracked shortly after. Tile work: Rather than using the proper edge/trim tiles the just cut field tiles along the edges. Multiple repeats to get this removed and the correct tile installed. Several times they just started installing tile in random places that didn't match the previously installed tile. HVAC: Mixed up random duct work between the first and third floor. There is a system for the first floor and one for the 2nd/3rd. Plumbing: After new cabinets were installed they never reinstalled valve handles. Closet under stairs: Never finished, different floor tile that doesn't match. Wood Floors: they were supposed to put 2 coats of poly on the floors. They only put one, and told me they put two. After pointing out that it would take two days to put two coats (and I only came home to wet poly one day) they had the floor guys come put a second coat down. Quarter Round: Missed finish/poly on the quarter round throughout the house. After pointing this our multiple times and them saying they fixed it I gave up. Final Cleaning: Piles of trash and dust left all over the house. Never finished removing all the grout haze from the tile.

The finished product is beautiful and we are very pleased.

The finished article is always superb. They really know what they are doing and all the workers are very trustworthy. Really first class operation .

Not only was the work done to the highest standard, but Terry and his crew were professional, responsive and timely. Dealing with the insurance aspect of our flood was very overwhelming. Terry was knowledgeable about the requirements and helped us navigate that process every step of the way. Our home repairs were on budget and completed on time, and our house looks beautiful.

We used them 2 months after purchasing our house when we discovered mold in a large area of our kitchen, it was not identified during the home inspection . :( They had to seal off the kitchen with plastic sheeting, use large fans and suction machines, and wear biohazard suits. Due |to the extent of the mold damage it was necessary to get pre and post testing done and follow a prescribed mold remediation protocol approved by the state of Texas. Fortunately, the mold was not the very dangerous black Stacchybotrus type and had not extended beyond the kitchen itself. Fortunately, our homeowners insurance covered the cost. Their estimate was reasonable and in line with other companies but we chose Watermark simply because I got a positive gut feeling about Terry Buckner, the owner/President ( don 't remember his title). The quality of the work was excellent and Terry and his workers were very patient with me during the MANY changes I made in materials and design. The entire project took longer than I expected (3 months ) but only because of some delays on our end, the holidays, and time spent waiting for the ordered materials to come in. However, it was worth the wait because they did a beautiful job and I got the kitchen of my dreams. We were living in the house ( on the second floor) during the remodel so I was able to keep a close watch on the work being performed. I felt comfortable with the workers and felt like I could trust leaving them in my house unattended while I drove all over town choosing materials . |The subcontractors were excellent and really knew their line of work . The granite guy saved us a lot of money and future problems by pointing out the inferior quality of granite slabs being left outside to weather in the sun and elements . He was even able to do the entire kitchen countertops with only one seam! The cabinet maker went beyond my expectations in the design and construction . Terry gave me a long list of suppliers I could choose materials from so I had a large selection in terms of price and materials . The only complaints I had were that the workers were not always punctual in showing up to work on time and sometimes left earlier than I thought they should have (did not spend a full 8 hours on the job ). And also that Terry sometimes took longer than expected to return my calls and emails. But I know he had other projects going on at the same time so that may have been the reason. But when the workers were there they really went to it and did quality work. I would definitely recommend Watermark Restoration and would not hesitate to use them in the future , if needed .

The jobs were managed by two different sets of craftsmen. Both groups of men were on time to the job each day. The work area was enclosed with plastic to help keep non work areas clean. They also vacuumed the work areas at the end of the day to keep down the dust.

All of the workmen were experienced and knowledgeable of their respective trades.

There were several unplanned jobs in both jobs, a water line had been leaking in a closet, and had caused a nearby gas line to become corroded. The sheetrock in the closet had to be removed because of mold.

Overall the jobs were carried out in a timely fashion, they were only slightly over the original estimates, due to unplanned additions to the job.

Mr. Buckner came prepared to the estimates to take appropriate measurements, and to listen to what I wanted. The estimates were very detailed and complete with appropriate drawings of the work to be done.
