Two White Guys Remodeling and Landscaping

Contacted Mr. Dean to place two timers for a soaker hose system at a rental property. I am out of town and shipped the timers and supplies for him to install. He arrived on Friday and placed the timers into a weather box in front and back of house and was going to come back on Saturday to mount to the house. The Tenant informed me that he never returned and I visited the property a couple weeks later to verify job was not complete. I called him several times and left messages and he did not return calls. I ended up having to hire another contractor to finish job and replace one timer that was damaged from laying on the ground in water.
I would not use this contractor again and I hope Angie's list is able to verify an post this review to warn others.

I saw a number on the side of a suburban that said Two White Guys remodeling, Landscaping and Law care. I wrote the number down and called them when I got home from running my errands. I got a hold of an office person and they had Karl the main guy call me. We talked about what I wanted done and set up a time to look at the house. When we meet at the house he was waiting for me to get there and was very polite. I showed him the kitchen and told him I wanted to change out the walls, counter tops and cabinets. we talked about what kind of wood and the general design and layout of the cabinets. then he started measuring and writting. We talked a bit more about the job and how long it might take. He told me he would get back with me in the next couple days with an estimate. Karl called me the next afternoon with a an estimate, so we arranged a time to get together and go over the estimate and time frame of the project. He told me it would cost me $18,000 to have custome built cabinets installed as well as replace the countertops and sheet rock. He gave me a time frame of two to two and a half weeks. It was the lowest bid I had come accross yet, so I decided to go with two white guys on this remodeling project. I am surely glad I did after hearing all the horror stories out there about remodeling contractors. He asked for 1/3 up front and the remainder on completion.  They started the job on a wednesday and finished on a thursday two weeks later. They showed up the first day for demolition a little before the time they said they were going to show up. they layed tarps down on the floors and just started tearing out the cabinets, counter tops and walls. It kind of scared me at first, but karl reassured me that it would look beautiful when they were done. It took them two days to completely gut the kitchen. Then they started on the rebuilding of my kitchen. while they were tearing out the walls and all they were making my cabinets. I gave them the picture and measurements I wanted the day after we agreed on the job. The next four days they put the walls back together and started on installing the base of the cabinets to support the counter tops. When they finished they installed the counter tops and  then started on the wall cabinets.  They did every thing on schedule and for the original estimate we agreed on. I payed the remainder of the estimate and decided to hire them to do some more work for me. It went so smoothly I was surprised and I want to recomend them to everyone that needs some remodeling done to their house. They are honest "good old boys" that do a great job for a good price. They do what they say they are going to do and more.
