Troy's Fence

A-1 installed our automatic rolling gate two years ago and it never did work properly and we were tired of dealing with it, so we decided to find another fence company to evaluate it to see what could be done to improve performance. We called Troy's Fence because they have great reviews. We were not disappointed. They are very responsive, honest and professional. They let us know that the original unit that was installed was underpowered for the weight of the gate. They recommended a much more powerful unit, that way we could keep the gate and solar panel that we already had and everything should work great. Their crew worked non-stop to get the job done in one day and cleaned everything up better than when they started. The difference is night and day between the old operation and what we have now. I highly recommend Troy's Fence. Don't make the mistake we did; get it done right the first time and call Troy's Fence.

I feel uncomfortable comparing  Troy's Fence to other fence companies. The bottom line here is that no one else can even come close to the quality of  Troy's Fence.
 
Driveway gates are very expensive. So I carefully researched many gate installers to find the right company for my driveway gate. I began by asking many of my neighbors, who had gates, who they would recommend for the job. Troy's Fence was recommended by %100 of my neighbors.
 
I was a journeyman machinist for 25 years, so I understand a lot about manufacturing and metallurgy.  I spoke with several vendors about their gates and these people  knew almost nothing about the gates they sell. That's because they buy the gates from somewhere off the internet and then they do the installation themselves.
 
What I found overall is that other companies best "industrial" gates compares equally to Troy's entry level "economy" gates.
Here's a short list of the difference in quality.
 
Troy's Fence uses a hinge post that is twice as large as the other guys.
Troy's Fence uses an industrial grade aluminum in his manufacturing process.  Other guys use a residential grade aluminum.
Troy's Fence sets the hinge post six feet into the ground. Other guys go three feet (your gate will be sagging soon).
Troy's Fence uses 5500 psi concrete for hinge post. Other guys use 3500 psi concrete.
Troy's Fence uses an ingenious adjustable header system that allows adjusting if hinge post moves due to ground shift.
Other guys will have to dig out your hinge post and reset it to correct ground shifting.
Troy's Fence gates are custom built for a perfect fit. Others guys buy the gates off the internet.
Troy's son Julian did the installation of my gate and he was meticulous in his work. His measurements were accurate to 1/16th of an inch on a seven foot wide gate. Everything was made perfectly plumb and level. My gate works fantastic and I

I needed to have my driveway gate replaced, because the existing gate was breaking down often from old age. When I called another well-known gate-install company in Corpus Christi, I was quoted $4200. I then called Troy's Fence and I got it done for $2600. They did an excellent job, and explained everything that they did. I'm very pleased with the service.

He does a great job. We have had him out a couple times.
