I have used them many times over the years. They have done brake pad replacement and normal vehicle maintenance. I have always been very pleased with their work. Compared to other places, their prices are reasonable.

They are the best ones in Corpus Christi. I have been going to them for years, almost a decade. What I like about them is that they don't cheat you. They just do exactly what you need and they are reasonably priced. They are also very honest about what they are doing. There repaired my AC once and another company quoted me $3000 but they did it for almost half the price. They were real honest. They get the transmissions cleaned every 3 years with something called a circulation clutch. People do it on the radiator and some shops have this machine where it circulates your transmission fluids. They did one of those jobs for me. They did the circulation flush thing and it worked absolutely fine after that. It is a $150 job and it is not the same as dropping the fluid and putting a new filter and it cost three times as much as that. It cleans up the debris in the transmission. It saves people from buying a new transmission. It is some nation wide that sells these machines. They have one of those and they are reasonably priced. It was lesser than I had expected. They do good work and they are very honest. He has warned me about other mechanic shops. Most mechanics work on commission and they are made to tell us that there is something wrong with our vehicle. He explained everything to me. He also told me that the worst time to take your car for a diagnostic is between January and March. Nobody takes their cars in for work during that time of the year and that could be because they don't have any money left. They would try to get more than what you would need. He told me a lot of stuff about mechanics and he was the most honest mechanic I have ever seen. It is a good honest shop that does fairly well. They are not the cheapest. I had a Chevrolet and it wouldn't start so I took it to the dealer and he said I needed a new engine immediately. He took it to another guy and found out what needed to be done and instead of paying $4000 I paid much lesser. I go to them for everything except for small things like oil change which I go to somewhere closer to my house. It was a good experience with them.

The Air conditioner in my 1999 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer broke and would only blow hot air. I probably should have taken it into the dealer because they may have given me a break since the milage was low. Anyway I chose to take it to TC auto because I had used them before. Big mistake. After they gave me a begining estimate Of $1600 to fix a broken diverter door I told them to procede with the work. I stopped by after my work when I could as this took days and days. One day I noticed my entire steering wheel assembly sitting on the concrete behind the truck. That scuffed up the leather pretty good but I never complained because they seemed nice enough people. They recommended I change out the AC coil since the dash was totally opened up for around $300 more or so (retail cost of part) that way I would maybe be safe against opening up the whole dash the next year if that part failed. OK I went with them on that it seemed reasonable. Then I noticed Green or blue oil on the bottom of one of the AC hoses (since it was still up on thier rack. They told me later the hose was leaking and needed to be replaced so I agreed. Soon they were done and I got the truck back and all was working well. My total bill was somewhere north of $2000 but it was in the past I told my self. Then a couple months later the truck started having problems shifting and then it wouldn't even shift at all. I called my brother, (a machanic in another state), and he talked me through putting it in gear from under the truck and I inched around the block to the nearest garage hoping it would make it and I wouldn't be without it for too long. I stopped by after work the next day and they had it all fixed up. I asked what the bill was and what was wrong. The bill was around $225 and the shifter cable was broken they told me. I asked what happened to it and thats when they suprised me. "the repair on it came apart" the mechanic said. Since it had never been repaired to my knowledge I asked if they could show it to me. They dug the old cable it out of the garbage. They showed me where it was broken, the connector at the steering wheel. It had a small piece of hose on both sides of the break and had a wire tie on each end of the hose to hold it together. Apparently when the mechanic at TC auto was working on the steering wheel he broke it and chose to do a quickie repair on it instead of replacing it they guessed. They recommended I take it back to T.C. and he would make it right. Yea I thought, Since I purchased the truck new and could show that and I had done 2-3 other repairs there he would take care of me right? Wrong..... when I showed the part to the office manager he told me"you have to talk to T.C. about that". When I showed it to T.C. his first question was why didn't I bring it to him? I told him I took it to the closest shop because it was not shifting. Why was I being grilled I wondered? didn't he trust me? the person who had trusted him and his shop two or three times now? He then told me his mechanic would have never disconnected that unless he pulled the steering wheel and that wasn't done on my truck. I told him that I did see the steering wheel behind the truck at some point during the repair and he could check with his men to confirm that. He then told me that the mechanic who repaired my truck no longer worked there. He also told me that his mechanic would have never done that and it was not his reponsibility. He knew his mechanic would never have done that. I told him I owned the truck since it was new and his mechanic was the only one who ever worked under the dash. After all the money I had paid for that repair I felt he would take care of this obvious quick fix by his mechanic but It seemed like all that made no difference to him. Like he thought I was trying to rip him off or somthing. It is my meger openion that people who pay shops in excess of $2000 for repairs are not con artists. So It was my problem, I thanked him for talking to me and I left there vowing to never go back again, and to share the story of how T.C. Auto "took care of me his customer". Consider yourself an informed consumer.

I knew I needed a wheel alignment by the wear patterns on my tires. I went to two other places for estimates, and both gave me conflicting information about supposed problems. The first place said I needed the casters adjusted for an estimated cost of over $200 (price was so high because it would have required pulling the CV drive-axles), but they said the balljoints were good when I asked. The second place said both lower-front balljoints needed to be replaced for an estimated cost of over $600 (all recommended work totaled over $1,300) and no mention of the casters. I knew something was not right. I asked around about a good place and heard that TC Auto Service was very reputable. I took my car there and they aligned all four tires without issue. They were professional and completed the alignment quickly. I asked about the balljoints, casters, etc. and they said there was no problem with them when they checked. The waiting area was very clean.
