About us

Streem Foundation Repair has an average of 12 employees. We have the usual pilings that many of our competitors use. We offer a lifetime warranty on these pilings the same as our competitors. What we dont do is overjack the perimeter of the house because we are worried about our work sinking. Many of our competitors will overjack a house to avoid any and all warranty callbacks. Some just overlift because of lack of experience, but some of the larger companys create most of our work. Once they overlift a concrete slab on the perimeter its only a matter of time before the home owner calls that same company back and the they submit an estimate between 10 and 25K for underslab tunneling. Many of our larger competitors hire an engineer to come out and tell the guys where to stopjacking a house. Anyone can lift a house, but its knowing where to stop lifting that is the key to not chasing the problem around. After a structure has sunk in the center we can pump a closed cell expanding foam under the structure and raise it back up in 1 day. This foam saves the home owner thousands and we offer a 10 year warranty. The foam also works well on driveways, patios, pools, and sidewalks. We do not subcontract at all. There is no license for foundation repair at all. Beware of persons claiming to have a special license or assoaciation type stuff. All assocations are judged by there own members. Half of the work we do inside homes is from companies that overlift the exterior of homes and advertise for underslab tunneling. Many are members of the foundation repair assoacition. The assoaciation reminds us of the best of the best ribbons in the yellow pages. Its funny when the company with the most ribbons has all the complaints from the BBB for the year and yet they get the best of the best ribbon for that year. The company gets a form to fill out from the local news paper and then they judge themselves and they put a ribbon in their ad saying they are the best of the best for that year. Also beware of the fine print on the back of some contracts it puts strict limits on their warranty. All of our pricing is done by units and we have no fine print on any of our contracts. Good day. The Concrete work was all good!  If you use this guy, I suggest using him for that ONLY (seriously, not kidding)!  I wasn't happy with anything else.

The foundation work was excellent.  Mark, the owner, had a team at our house in a timely manner.  They dug to bedrock and poured pilings.  They cleaned up after themselves and my husband I literally watched the cracks in our walls close.  It was amazing.  We found Mark to be professional and fair. I'd recommend his company to anyone.  That said, when we had a roof problem, we called Mark for a roofer recommendation. We were thrilled to learn that he was in the roofing business and again he came to our house promptly, gave us an estimate, and got to work.  The house has a flat roof, so not many are interested in the work.  Mark used a new product.  It's a foam base and works like a charm.  The roof has actually insulated the house, making it cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.  Again, my husband and I were thrilled with the work ethic and the product.

Both jobs went well and we haven't had any problems with either.  My house was sinking such that items would roll right off my dining table.  Streem took care of it for a very fair price, cleaned up after the job, and told us we had a lifetime guarantee.  Mark Treen, owner and hands-on operator meant it.  He's great and runs a great company.  We have a house with a flat roof.  We had the roof repaired multiple times to no avail , then we contacted Mark Streem  for a roofer recommendation. He came by our house the next day, assessed the roof, and told us about a new product he'd been working with.  It's a spray on foam and it is fabulous. The roof is great, the house is cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter...great insulator.  Mark is amazing! From foundations to roofs and everything in between. Great service, product, and price.

When trying to arrange for an inspection and bid, I called and left messages three times over a three day period.  No one ever returned a call.  On the fourth day I finally got someone to answer the phone.  He said he would come to my home on Friday to give me a bid.  On Friday morning he called to reschedule for Saturday.  I changed my plans to be home all day Saturday, but he never showed up or called again.  I decided to give up on this company as an option for foundation repairs.

Came to give estimate when scheduled, was able to give several suggestions; while at our house, called a couple concrete providers to know exactly what was available, stopped by about a week later with two estimates doing the job two different ways.  Even though we did not make up our minds for several weeks, he honored his original estimate, set up the start date, did not require any money up front, only when half completed and then the remainder a week after completion to be sure everything was satisfactory. Job was done exactly as we envisioned with no hitches. He subsequently helped us very reasonably with equipment for another landscape project

He did exactly what he said he would do. I had hired another company originally to do the work, however they did not do a good job. Mark Treen came in and found the foam the other company had injected. The other company's foam was inferior and was mash-able by hand. Mark put in concrete pilings, rather than foam, to hold up the house. The final cost was on point with the original bid, even when he ended up having to dig a few more holes than initially intended. He went above and beyond for us and our house. He is always available if there are questions after the job. He is guaranteed and willing to come out and just take care of things so that everything is right at the end of the day.

Left a message for owner Mark Treen on 11/02/11 to inspect the foundation after we noticed cracked tiles along the kitchen and hall-way leading to the garage.  On 11/07/11, Treen returned my call and an appointed was set up for the following morning.  Treen was punctual and professional.  Treen inspected the house on the outside and the inside, and set up a device to show level and slope.  Treen advised the house was in need of raising from the right side only and was going to need at least eight (8) pilings.  Treen estimated the work would cost $2,650.00.  The price seemed reasonable compared to what a neighbor paid to another company for similar work.

He's very knowledgeable in all areas of foundation repairs and on the correct drainage that will keep your foundation in good repair. The main thing is he's HONEST! He does not try to take advantage nor does he over-charge. To me those two things are most important when looking for help or a contractor of any kind. Mark was a breath of fresh air ! He explained what he was going to do, gave me a written estimate and he stuck to that. When the started the work he showed me and explained how it was done. He was here everyday with a smile on his face and those guys work....it was hot, humid and they were steady at it, not taking very long to get the job done. Mark may be the boss, but I saw him down there digging and working right along side of his help. They started on a Monday morning and were mostly finished by noon Friday. There was rain that held up the pouring of the concrete and also finishing a bit of the other, but they were still pretty much done by Thursday and he sent most of the crew home. I am at least a 2 hour drive from Corpus and he still came to do the work. He showed up when he said he would. I guess you can tell by all that I am writing that I had a very positive experience. I think you will too. I highly recommend Steem Company. They can also level your pool. You know when you talk to this man he knows what hes doing. Great experience! I give them an A+ on the job.
