I had been a customer of Romays 5 years ago before we moved to Victoria for a job. We just returned to Corpus and when I had the noise problem decided to go back to Romays.

They are a highly ethical and professional group. Including Fred the owner, his children and the other members of their team. I highly recommend this business.

By the way, they did  not charge me anything for the inspection of the vehicle even though I had them do a 2nd review; I knew they had invested time and wanted to pay something they said they didn't repair anything and there would be no charge.

How many businesses have you seen do that in recent years??????

Romay's inspected my vehicle's oil leak and found the source of the problem. I dropped off the vehicle and received a call stating my car's oil leak was coming from the oil filter not being tightened correctly. I only paid the auto shop the fee for them to perform a full inspection on my vehicle and not for fixing the leak since it was only the filter being loose. I am glad the mechanic didn't say it was something else causing the leak because I was already expecting the worst and willing to pay whatever needed to fix the leak. I would definitely go back to Romay's for my auto repairs and service needs.

Diagnosed the problem correctly and was able to have my car repaired and returned within 24 hours.

Our car was in the shop for over a week. It took them 3 or 4 days to figure out why the car would not run. After determining the issue, they ordered the parts for repair. Once received they discovered that they had ordered the incorrect parts, so we had to wait several more days for the correct part to come in. The overall charges were not too bad, but the shop marked up the towage charges over what the company had quoted me to take the car to Romay's lot.

Great bunch of folks and very trustworthy. You only get fixed what you really need.

The service experience was extremely professional.

I called Romay's and spoke to Rene. Rene advised that sometimes, the "check engine" light comes on when the vehicle's computer is sensing an anomaly in the overall system. Sometimes, something as simple as tightening the gas cap will do the trick. I tried that and it worked! But a few days later, the light came back on. The engine still had the burnt smell so I took the vehicle in. A few hours later, Rene advised the vehicle had a leaking radiator hose and the oxygen sensor was no longer working. Rene gave me an estimate and I approved the work. Romay's repaired the vehicle the same day and we picked it up that afternoon. The problem has not returned.

We've been using Romay's Auto Service for the past five years and have been very satisfied with their service, their guarantees, and their honesty. We have four vehicles in the family and I take them all to Romay's. They are proud of their work and a little more expensive than the rest but the work is well done and they usually get it right the first time. If they don't, they will rework it at no cost to you. I've had Romay's fix what another shop couldn't/wouldn't and that shop was a national franchise.

Romay's fix a noise that I had attempted to fix several times. I had taken the car to other mechanics and they did no better than what I did the noise came back within a day or so. Thanks to Rene and his staff for a job well done. I had to wait in the waiting area a little longer than i would have wxpected, but it was worth it.

The service is really good and they seem honest. They are probably not the cheapest but they are reliable and get the job done.
