"The Reeds have been my clients since 2002. I had worked their condo 4 times with the last right before Hurricane Harvey which totaled out their unit leaving only metal studs. I tore out a few kitchen walls and tripled the size of their reconfigured kitchen. I designed / built custom cabinets, tore out outdated prefab showers and created spa like bathrooms, followed by interior decorating their entire condo. Thank you, Gladyce for allowing me the privilege of working your "home away from home""
"Donivan review raises issue of baseless, unwarranted libel and defamation. I was called in to repair drywall and install new flooring after a bath plumbing leak where a previous contractor had installed a vanity, tub and surround. Prior to signing my contract, this client ONLY asked if I was insured. I confirmed and proceeded to provide certificate holder copy of insurance. He claims I stated I was licensed to inspect or treat mold. His claim is false. The subject of mold or mold license never came up and no visible mold was present other than musty odor in bedroom closet after old floor removed. I did, though, offer to spray antimildew solution to stay on safe side as no mold nor mildew were present but since they'd had plumbing issues, I felt it serve as a preventive measure prior to installing flooring. After repairing drywall, prior to applying texture, my carpenter called me to say he smelled musty odor like mildew or beginnings of mold behind tub . I went to check and suggested to client it might be good idea to open wall to check to stay on safe side. He called in their contractor who had installed tub who told them she would call in a mold inspector. That is something those 2 parties agreed to do. I was not part of that conversation. Client later informs me I owe him for mold inspection and his day lost of work (total $1300+) where he wished to be present for mold inspection. Those expenses and day pay loss were of his choosing."
