Two people came to do the job and it took them about sixteen hours total. Overall it was just 100% great from start to finish. The job satisfied my wife which is the most important part.

The work went smooth and Glenn worked when he could fit me in but I didn't feel that way at all. He works quietly and is professional. The job looks great.

The project took about a month to finish. The cabinets were beyond my expectations and have served me well. The install was performed over several days. The only draw back was the outsourcing is not always perfect. The tile was laid but they did not finish with the outlets being redone to meet the new space created by the tile. A simple fix but still. The electrician also charged a little more then agreed on but he did do a lot of work. The electrician was still a lot cheaper then some alternative bids. The plumber was wonderful and will always get my business. The granite was also outsourced and done well. All in All a good job for the money I spent.
* on a side not I don't think he does many little projects. A kitchen remodel but not spare bathrooms.

I researched and shopped online for kitchen cabinets Feb and Mar 2011 so I pretty much knew what I wanted in new cabinets and what I wanted to pay and what work I was willing to do myself for this project. In early April I went to local cabinet businesses in Corpus Christi to see what kind of a deal I could get. Glen Wells, owner of Cabinet Alternatives, worked with me and gave me a proposal that fit my requirements including some custom work. So we made a deal.

He ordered the cabinets and they came in on time. A family emergency came up and I could not have them installed as originally planned. Glen worked with me on a new install date and we started the project 3 weeks later with no problems and no extra expense. I did the tear-out and disposal of the old cabinets, necessary plumbing, electrical, carpentry and wall boarding to get my kitchen ready for the new cabinets and counter tops. My kitchen was a mess but remained fully functional during my part of the project which made my wife very happy.

On 23 May 2011 Glen's folks delivered and began installing the new cabinets. On 26 May the counter tops were installed, the trim, crown molding and custom work was finished. The entire job was done late that afternoon. The next day I installed the new sink and faucets and our kitchen was fully functional on the 5th day after they started the install.

The installers were very professional. They handled the new cabinets very gently so as not to damage or mar them while installing. I have an old house with uneven concrete slab floors and bowed walls but the installers managed to level and square everything.

My wife and I are very pleased with the our new Natural Maple cabinets and new counter tops. And we were very satisfied with the workmanship and business dealings with Cabinet Alternatives. And, the price was very fair.

We got bids from several different companies. All the others took what we told them and parroted back our thoughts on design with their cost estimate. Stacy of Cabinet Alternatives took what was bothering us about the space and made a completely unique design that went well beyond our expectations. He was meticulous in laying out the design, anticipating where problems might arise and in keeping us informed about what was going to happen at each stage. We elected to do the demolition to save some money but even there, Stacy guided us on what to do and what to avoid that his subcontractors would handle later. Stacy was on the job virtually every single day, if something arose with a sub--he was here to work it out. Every contractor that came to our house was professional, friendly and every single one cleaned up as best they could at the end of each day. You hear so many horror stories about remodeling gone bad. While it isn't fun being without a kitchen for a month, I cannot envision this project going any smoother. A great design, professional craftsmanship and quality products---all put together and managed by Stacy Gallagher of Cabinet Alternatives. I am confident that if you talk with him, you will get more than you expect.
