Took out old Morgan hot tug and installed new 345 Jacuzzi tub.
"The pool was finished in Oct. of 2008 not July of 2009. I, the owner, was at the job numerous times due to the excessive amount of changes to the original contract that the owner made. [member name removed] was always reading on the internet about how to build a swimming pool and making changes he thought were necessary. As he stated he had someone from Boston to come down here, pools are built differently in the north than in the South. He made me change the way the catch basin for the negative edge was built late one day while we were pouring the pool the next day, because he didn't want the side walls to be extended all the way out to the edge of the catch basin. This is there to block the wind we have in South Texas, so he was losing water thru the wind blowing water off the negative edge wall. This job had a contract he signed (we have copies) and he paid draws as we completed the work per the signed contract. We would never do a job with just a quote as the owner states. We came out several times after the job was completed. In one instance he wanted a new motor installed on the new pump because he said it was to loud, it wasn't any louder than any other pump but we installed a new one at our cost to try and appease him. About a year later he wanted a new light installed (it stilled worked and we changed it anyway) and then he refused to pay for it. At this time we let him know that until he paid his balance we would no longer service his pool. As for the leaks, we came out off & on for over a year and I hired a professional leak detection person who went out and fixed one and could not find any more leaks. This took place over 4 years ago and since this time we have sustained a major drought with Lake Corpus Christi being at 65% capacity when the pool was built coming all the way to the edge of the owners property (hence the negative edge pool). Now the lake is at 16% with lake water not even in sight of the owner's property. This has caused the ground to move all over south Texas, not just the lake, and caused many plumbing and swimming pool leaks in the industry that are out of our control. This owner has never one time tried to contact us after he refused to pay the bill for the replacement of the light mentioned above."
"We did not sell this pool. It was an internet purchase and we stated several times to the homeowner that we do not do above ground pool work. After repeated calls asking us to install the above ground pool we reluctantly agreed because no other pool company in the area was willing to both install an above ground pool purchased from the internet or make the long drive to Bishop. The owner of Artisan Pools made several trips to the job site along with our employees removing an existing above ground pool and stated several times in the contract and in person that do to the nature of the install into an existing deck/pool area, we at Artisan Pools could not guarantee how settling of the new above ground pool would occur. We then made additional trips that were not in the contract and not charged to homeowner to correct some of these settling issues. The pool was in good condition when we left it. The amount charged was $4500 and not $5000 as stated above. After recieving a certified letter out of the blue with no contact from the owner, we made 4 different attempts to set up an appointment to come look at the pool. Each time we were told by the owner that they could not make the appointment. We have lived up to an exceeded every aspect of our contract. This homeowner is exactly why we do not provide any service to above ground pools or internet purchases."
