As a follow-up All Star Siding and Windows from March review, contractor has not paid engineer for Certificate of Compliance for Texas Windstorm Insurance. This has caused a cascade of defaults to include the required for the customer to pay for the Certificate of Complaince rather than facing a cancellation of Windstorm Insurance Coverage....Avoid at all costs. The materials used were top notch. The installers obviously knew what they were doing, but got in a hurry while taking measurements on the windows. One of the windows didn't fit, so I had to wait two weeks with plywood over that window while the replacement was fabricated. When I expressed my irritation, the salesman started talking about the devil and other conspiracy theories, which I found bizarre. That said, the house looks great and I love how the new windows dampen noise and insulate the house so much better.
