that I have been used to getting from HP, this computer has been so far
above what i got from them. They built it according to what i told them i
needed for my production of slide shows as a side business. This
computer is fast, quiet and very efficient. The service and friendliness I
received from Darrell, owner of the business, and Blake, the
one that built the computer were superior. I highly recommend them for
computer service, anytime.
Can't speak for the PC service, but strongly recommend Ace for anyone who has problems with an Apple MacIntosh
"We serviced this laptop in May of 2011, which is about 6 months prior to this review. The Laptop was checked in for being slow. The first thing that was observed during the inspection/diagnostic phase was that the CPU fan was completely clogged with dust/dirt which would have caused the system to overheat and run slow or lock up. We thoroughly cleaned the CPU fan and reinstalled it. Then, we performed a tune up and upgraded the ram memory from 512mb to 1.5gb with the customer's approval. As a part of the tune up process we remove temp files, repair registry errors, remove unwanted toolbars, simple spyware programs, and old expired anti-virus programs. We then go back and reinstall anti-virus software, windows critical updates, update Quicktime, Java, Flash, and Adobe Reader. Lastly we make adjustments to Windows settings and test for both proper Windows and browser functionality. Cleaning the CPU Fan, tripling the amount of Ram, and performing a tune-up seemed to make a big difference back in May of 2011. It is possible that in the last 7 months something else has caused the laptop to slow down again. If there is ever any problem with service that we have performed we simply ask that you bring the computer back to our shop so we can take another look at it. Maybe there was something that was overlooked, or sometimes we find that problems are being caused by a device connected to a computer like a printer or a webcam that is at your house. In that case, an on-site visit may be necessary. Since the computer was never brought back to us or a follow up appointment scheduled, there is no way to know if we missed anything or if the computer just needs servicing again. This appeared to be a "textbook" tune-up with ram upgrade and I am sorry you were not satisfied with our work. We do offer a 1 year warranty and it is possible that something may be wrong with the RAM we sold you. If you bring it back to our repair shop, I would be happy to run the diagnostics."
