I can't say enough good things about ABC Painting & Drywall. They are courteous, conscientious and professional. From start to finish, I felt confident that they would do an excellent job and they did not disappoint. The original paneling was removed, drywall was installed, and crown molding was put up. Joe (the owner) noticed cracks in my ceiling and recommended they be repaired and painted, so I had them do that as well. They worked with an electrician to bump out the electrical outlets, install my new ceiling fans and recessed lights. Joe has a keen eye and noticed my bookcases needed freshening up, so I had them paint those as well. My entryway had some wall damage and that didn't escape Joe's eye either, so he had his guys fix that too! My family room has been transformed and I can't wait to have them back to work on more rooms in my house.

The house is 20 years old and has had some settling issues. Walls needed to be repaired from roof leak in two rooms. Kitchen and breakfast area were wall paper and needed to be updated with textured walls. Rooms needed to be updated with modern paint colors. Wall paper borders in two bedrooms needed to be removed which is not an easy task as we had completed this in another bedroom.
Joe and his crew were extremely careful with our furniture, were "clean up focused", placed all furniture back in their old positions, mopped the floors, covered everything extremely well, and were responsive to all the details in working with us. We could not be more pleased with the crew and Joe's work.

The entire job went very well. He arrived 15 mins prior to the start of the job (930). Before we started, we went over what I wanted and he answered any questions. He and his helper painted 3 accent walls ( I have 10 and 15 ft ceilings). They were very methodical in their approach to the job, and in the end proved to be efficient. After they set up, the job began by 10am and they finished by 430p. It was a one day job. I had a couple of questions and concerns while they worked and Joe took the time to answer them. I like the fact that the owner is on site..
This is the second time, I have had Joe and his crew come to my house. The first time was 3 years ago when he painted the entire house. He's very nice. His prices are reasonable. He is punctual. I would recommend him to any of my friends or family. In fact, I plan on getting an estimate for the caulking and painting for the crown moldings in our home.

A bit pricey but The crew did a great job, it was a lengthy process but I know the job was done right and to their best ability to make me happy. I would use ABC painting again!!!! Kitchen (2 colors & laundry room cabinets, overhaul)

"ABC Painting & Drywall takes pride in our professional painting services. Unfortunately, Angie's list ran a promotion listing this job for $99.00 of which they kept $45.00. The fine print did indicate it only applied to Nueces County and [member name removed] was well aware he was outside the service area which in reality is 45 minutes away with traffic from our starting point. The additional $25.00 charge was to cover the drive time (about two hour round trip) and fuel expense which was agreed upon prior to his purchase of this package. The bargain deal listed for two coats of paint which was provided. The coat of primer and one coat of paint was provided as agreed, the deal was not for three coats (one prime and two finish coats). The primer was tinted to the color of the finish so in reality the third coat was not necessary. What was not mentioned by you, was that the furniture was to be moved out (by the customer) and the room was not cleared for quick and easy access. Instead the room had bedroom furniture and cable wires were still connected. ABC Painting & Drywall is not in the habit of short changing customers and will not accept promotions set by other companies just for "value deals". As the customer's expectations are not always met and the company is usually blamed when in reality the deal was provided by a third party. ABC Painting and Drywall is sorry that your satisfaction was not totally met, but we met our end of the contract as stated by Angie's List promotions. Thank you for listing good marks on the other categories. The price normally would have been $300.00 so for $55.00 our company took a loss which was not held against the customer. Everything went great! On the first service date, Joe came out to our home the day after we called him to provide an estimate and the day after that to start the repair. After he was done, we can't even tell my husband almost fell through the ceiling! We highly recommend since the repair far exceeded our expectations.
On this latest service date, we had the estimate and repair done within 24 hours. The repairs were done quickly and make our home look like new.

This is the second time I have used their services - they show up as agreed. they match paint extremely well. They are a bit pricey compared to others but no call backs - and they do an excellent job.

We had a leaky roof in our back room -- which really damaged the ceiling. After replacing the roof, I started looking for a Painting and Drywall contractor. I really wanted to repair the ceiling before the family was here for Christmas. Luckily, I found ABC Painting and Drywall on Angie's list & Joe Solis was available and could replace the ceiling and paint the room for me. | |Joe replaced the ceiling, repaired other sheet rock repairs he and his crew noted, and painted the whole room for me. They left the room really clean. It is impossible to see the area they repaired. It looks like a whole new room! | |I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Joe Solis at ABC Paining and Drywall to anyone -- especially residents of the Corpus Christi area. They did a great job with minimum fuss on a timely basis -- and at a good price! |

They were good. He gave me an estimate right away on the work that I need to get done. He said that they would show up at 9 and they did. They started to prep the place where they were going to work and finish right after lunch and they cleaned up and left and I was able to runs some errands before five. They were professional on time and got the work done I would definitely hire these guys in the future.

ABC was great! From our first meeting, they were prompt and professional. The team that did the actual work was great. I am very happy with the job they did and hope to have them back on future projects. I was especially impressed with how communicative the contractor was. He kept me informed every step of the process and checked in daily to see how the project was going. Great work!

Very well. He was very detailed on what he was going to do. His price was reasonable and very punctual. He was on site everyday and he was part of a crew of 4 who painted our home. He is very personable and a good worker. He had estimated that the work would be done by friday (work started that monday)..however it did take longer than anticipated (job finished the following tuesday). Before we gave him the final check we did a walk through to make sure we were satisfied with the job-- which we were.

The ABC crew did an excellent job. I spent 7 days with these men as they very conscientiously went about their work. Mr. Solis was there every day to check with me and discuss particulars - I was having a hard time deciding on ceiling color and he was very helpful. I am going to have the remainder of the house done next year (bedrooms, bathrooms, hallway) and I will be using ABC painting. I also like that he has a website and communicates via email and text, as well as face to face.

Joe was always responsive and prompt with requests. He provided a written quote, which included materials. His staff arrived on time and completed the job the following morning. They cleaned the area prior to leaving and were very professional while on-site. Joe also repaired a crack above the guest bathroom window...gratis!
The portion of the ceiling that was replaced and the area around the kitchen window was flawless!!!!
Awesome job guys.....we will definitely use them again and refer others to them as well!
Update: Following cabinet installation on July 2nd & 3rd, we are having Joe come back over to have him do some additional repairs & painting for us.

I found ABC Painting & Drywall to be very professional and totally trustworthy during the period they worked in our home. The owner of ABC has been in the buisiness of painting for many years and it certainly shows, but more importanly he is a wonderful buisiness man and his honesty and friendly manner will put anyone at ease. This is very important to me especially, as my husband travels and cannot be with me during scheduled home improvement projects. As a result of finding ABC to be trustworthy; I made the decision to allow the owner of ABC to keep my house key and I was glad I did, as they sometimes worked late into the day and would come and go even if I wasn't home. Nice to be able to trust your contractors!
I cannot fail to mention ABCs' meticulous care when it came to protecting my furniture and items important to me. They always left my place in good order before they left for the day and I was very grateful for that, since I decided not to pack my stuff and stay in a hotel. My bed was clean and ready for me to crash every night. The bathroom was left clean and accessible to me as well. Those little things make a big difference with me.

ABC Painting & Drywall, they are great, they are very, very good. It was November when they were here. I do remember they were very reasonable they did a lot of work. They put up texturing on the walls and they did a lot of painting, a lot. They put in crown moulding. It's absolutely gorgeous. The removed some lattice work that we had that was okay in the 70s but not now. Their work was just outstanding. The painting was just gorgeous. They worked with us on it, gave us suggestions. They replaced a door for us. They painted doorways, we were just so pleased with the work that they did. They were just great. They removed popped corn ceilings. Huge mess. I don't know how they got rid of it but they re-textured all. Over half the house that had to have the popped corn removed and they did it all, re-textured, and painted. They did a lot, a lot of stuff. It was so reasonable, the price was so reasonable. Me an and my husband picked out the colors in the beginning and they waited until we got home and they said this is what you picked out and we said that's awful. I ran to the store and got another color, they never fussed, they were always here when we needed them. Always available. They were great. They moved the furniture around, they made sure the floors were cleaned up and covered up my computer and moved it around because it was on a huge desk. They moved furniture and they were very careful with everything. Nothing was chipped, they covered all the nail holes in the wall. They were very thorough. I am so pleased. The crown moulding is absolutely gorgeous and they recommended that.
