He was polite, on time and charged reasonable prices.

I have used him twice now and would call him again if necessary.

I used Angie's list to find an appliance repairman for a problem with leaking gas on an oven and stove burner. Called for check on oven and stove burner not completely igniting. Given diagnosis and price over the phone for the oven problem. Since this is an older and experienced man, my husband said it was quite possible he knew that without seeing the appliance. He ordered part and did come when he said he would. He wasted some time being unfamiliar with our particular oven. He did not know how to fix the stove burner. My husband determined he could change the needed part to the burner himself so he did not have A-1 do that. Quite chatty. Wanted to give a different price than that quoted over the phone, but settled for original price when we would not back down.

Problem with burners lighting resurfaced and oven problem continued. After investigation and some consultation with repairmen, my husband completely fix the problems at no coast and only an hour of time!

I fell we were ripped off by A-1 Appliance (which is one man working out of his house) and would not use again nor recommend to anyone.

I had had two other companies come out and attempt to fix this diswasher. Neither one could, one said it would probably cost over $400 if he were to come back and find the leak. A1 was able to fix it the first time for a lot less than $400! I will definately use them again.

Carl and Robert were great. They were punctual and able to schedule our repair on short notice. They fixed the dryer and even took the time to look online to tell us where to order a new timer knob (ours is broken). I would recommend them in the future. Their prices were very close to their initial estimate.

This is a person you can trust as both honest and competent. The original control board that was replaced was, apparently, defective and I called and related that to Carl. He ordered a replacement, got it in a couple days, and replaced the replacement. I could not have been more pleased with the response, the professionalism and the friendliness experienced. There is no question but I will call A-1 again if we need appliance repairs.

My wife called to see if we could get someone to stop by this morning, several other companies said they couldn't make it until later tonight. A-1 said that they would be over upon completion of another job. About an hour later they called and showed up. They had the part and the washer was fixed within a few hours. Our stack of laundry is now gone.
