Carrillo Roofing and Home Repair

I like and trust Mr Carrillo because of another wonderful  job he did at our home (not roofing) When I set up an appointment it wasn't Mr Carrillo but another company with a different name claiming to work under Mr Carrillo. I didn't like this company because I felt they wanted to get the most of my insurance and as this person told me to use some of the same materials on my roof and still charge me full price what my insurance is willing to pay. By what this person said I decided not to get them.

When we first contracted with Carrillo, we worked with Oscar, who won the contract with a good proposal. Open communication and constant follow-ups were one of the many promises. We very much value great work and open communication because we are all about feedback and customer service. Well, the weather was bad in our area during the week work was supposed to begin; this pushed the work back a few weeks, which was completely understandable. However, we did not receive a call regarding when work would begin; we arrived home for lunch one day and workers were on our roof. It was surprising but we were fine with it. The work was finished within 2 days. The roof looked good but we noticed that the workers killed some of our flower beds because they weren't careful with their tarp and ladders. The same night the work was done, our outdoor A/C unit malfunctioned. It was a strange coincidence but we called for service and thought nothing of it. After speaking to the A/C repairman, we were told that a piece of roofing material may have fallen onto the A/C unit because the fan blades on those units don?t just ?fall off?. After that was fixed, we called Carrillo and told them about the A/C and some screws and other materials that were left in our yard. The roofing supervisor followed up after our phone call but his only responsibility was to check for the materials that were left. He was not authorized to speak with us about the damage to our A/C unit. As of this date, Carrillo still hasn?t acknowledged that complaint. In the meantime, they have already collected their first payment. Currently, the second payment from our insurance company is on-hold due to some ?questionable? line items that were on the invoice, such as charges for work that was not completed. My husband and I did not exactly have an awful experience because our roof looks good but, unfortunately, this contractor is TERRIBLE at returning phone calls (or even picking up the phone).  At this moment, the insurance company is attempting to make contact with them regarding the remaining portion of the bill.  I will update this review once that is resolved.

Because of the storms we had in May in our area, several homes in the area required new roofs. We called several contracters. Many could not even come and give us an estimate because of the volume of roofs. When I called Carrillo, Will was quick to come out to the house and walk me through the steps needed for the mortgage company and the insurance company. He even let me select a new shingle color. I wanted something different than the orginal color that was the same as the whole neighborhood. He even explained ridgeline roofing to me. I went ahead and selected these. 
Carrillo worked around my schedule.When they came out the workers were here before 7 and had most of the old shingles off by 11. By the end of the day the whole roof was complete. They did a great job of cleaning up the area and left no trash and hardly any nails. 
The gutters were installed the next week in the color we wanted,  They look great.
The whole process took less than some houses in the area. Thank you for the roof, it is beautiful and we have gotten several compliments.

Robert has replaced my roof 3 different times since 2009. He does a great job and his people clean up their mess very well. Robert has always been here exactly when he says he will be here and does more than other contractors. He installed at no additional cost additional vents under the under part of my roof to allow my attic to breath better and has made a difference since he installed them a couple of years ago. He and his crew does a great job and would highly recommend him to others.

Excellent work.  They were very responsive.  I called one day and they came out the next day for an estimate.  Within a week, we had everything set up and they put a beautiful 30 year roof on, also, put the same roofing on my shed, and reinforced some problems with our chain link fence.

I would highly recommend this company.  The were so professional and true to their word.

I initially emailed this company to see if I could get an estimate to repair/replace my patio roof. I waited over a week with no reply back. I then attempted to call this company and nobody answered. I left a message again wishing to get an estimate on this job. It has now been a week since that message and still have not received a call back. I don't know if this company is out of business, but if they aren't, just made a terrible first impression. I will not be going with this company for the job even if they call me back. Not a good way to do business and make money by not returning customers calls and emails.

Very nice people to deal with. Did not choose this company due to slow to respond and had to keep calling to get my estimate...then it was for the wrong thing.  In their defense...it was a crazy couple weeks for them. Very busy then a death in the family.  Would surely try them again.

Very Good, repair leak in timely manner and guarantee his work. No problem with another leak. He was on time to start the work and price very reasonable. I would recommend Carrillo roofing to anyone.

The experience was great, even though I didn't have the work done.
I also checked with the BBS and he didn't have any complaints, unlike some of the others.

We called Robert Carrillo who was recommended to us to have our roof replaced with a metal roof. After talking to Robert we checked with him on a 10' X 24' patio cover before having the roof replaced to save time and perhaps save money by having everything done at one time. The price was very reasonable and we gave him the go-ahead on the patio cover and roofing. We went down to Metal Mart and paid for the metal and while the metal was being cut and shipped to Belton, Robert had his crew come in and build the patio cover. As soon as the metal was shipped, Robert picked it up began the installation of the roof. We had two sheets of plywood (4'X8') that needed replaced and Robert's crew replaced the plywood, removed the shingles and hauled all old roofing away.The roof on the house and shop (12'X24) roofs look so nice that Robert would gladly our house to show you one of the homes he has repaired. His workmanship is a credit to the neightborhood.

He was on time.  He gave me the cost up front, and he was right on his estimate when the job was completed.  I believe it might have even been less.  He was courteous and did the job right.  I have not had to call him back for anything.
