They were great. My hair is not the easiest hair in the world to deal with so I use their top hair cutter. He charges $60 which is not bad for a top of the line hair cutter. He's punctual and he really knows how to cut hair. My hair happens to be stick straight, baby fine and the only thing that saves me is the fact that I have a lot of it. If it's not cut properly with the adequate layers and so forth it can be a disaster and I can't do anything with it. The gentleman I use, his name is Blue, and he's just an incredible hair cutter. I use them consistently.

To clarify, I went to the Tangerine Salon in Allen at Watters Creek. After I made the appointment, they called two days before to reschedule. I was told my stylist was one of the best ones they had. After washing my hair we talked quite a bit about what I wanted which was a simple cut, color and full, subtle highlights. First, my hair was combed straight over my eyes during the entire cut which was annoying and non-reassuring. Then the bangs... first cut was way too short - over an inch above my eyebrows. She said oh... is that too short? Well, little late. Also cut strange choppy chunks all over and it was very uneven. Then the color and highlights. Color was good but the highlights were very chunky and uneven all over. I was horrified! I went home, got a box color and colored my hair myself. Nothing I could do for the cut. I called the manager and she was nice and apologetic. She had me come in and got another stylist try to blend the weird cuts. It was terrible and never, ever will I go back especially to the stylist I had. The Aveda products are nice though.

My duaghter's appointment was on the 5th in the afternoon, they called and reschuled her for someone else on the 6th. Then when she got to the appointment on the 6th they told her they did not have time for the services she requested, and they would reschedule her, again, for the 16th. we wasted two days during the holidays for this run-around.
When asked for a manager they said there was no manager at the site.
Loved the service before now. Will never go back.

Professional, relaxing environment.

I like them a lot because they are very nice, professional, and their services are very thorough.

They are terrific. They use scented aromas from which you can choose. I like lavinder as it is good for my sinuses. After they are done, they massage your feet, legs, and give you the perfect manicure. The water is warm. It is a wonderful experience and well worth the price. I think highly of them and think of them as my friends as I go there often.

I was very impressed with Tangerine salon and with my stylist Robyn! I have recently moved to the area and was nervous to switch stylist but knew I would probably be safe with any Aveda salon. My daughter and I went for the first time in November (I can't remeber my daughters stylist name but she was great too) and both had cut and highlights. Great atmosphere, very talented stylist and priced reasonably for a nice salon. I have been back once for a trim and have an appt next week for color again. Robyn is fantastic! She only works a few days a week so call ahead to make appt but I am sure all the others are great as well. As a matter of fact a lady in my neighborhood had her hair done yesterday by a guy who works there and she was very pleased and her hair looked wonderful. Definitely recommend!
