Company replaced roof. The first time it rained, several leaks were found. Company said they repaired the leaks, but each time it rained, it leaked again (around skylight and furnace vent). Once the company was paid in full, their responsiveness dwindled to 3 weeks response time. At that point I filed a complaint with the BBB. The company waited the maximum time to respond and claimed no responsibility even though the signed contract states a 2 year guaranty on workmanship. The direct cause of the leaks in the new roof was determined, by 2 different independent inspections, to be poor workmanship on the part of Mike Saxon Roofing. Mike Saxon Roofing had every opportunity (4 months) to get the leaks repaired properly and bring to my attention any repairs that the insurance adjuster may have overlooked. I filed the complaint with the Better Business Bureau because there was no sense of urgency to repair the leaks by Mike Saxon Roofing to avoid further damage to my home. I realized that I needed to take action once it was revealed to me repairs Mr. Saxon claims his company made had not actually been performed. I had to pay over $800 to get the leaks and interior damage fixed on my own. The BBB offered arbitration in November 2011 and I agreed, however the company refused to arbitrate. The BBB pulled their accreditation in February of 2012. In June 2012, the company agreed to arbitrate (there was a hail storm in Spring of 2012). In September 2012, arbitration finally took place. In October 2012, the arbitrator ruled that the company should pay for the expenses I paid to repair the damage. Company failed to abide by the arbitrator's decision in the timeframe allowed.
