Awful. Technician was terrible and unprofessional. He had to change appt multiple times, was always late, disheveleved and found ways to delay work. They caused so much damage that I had to have another company come in to repair my walls, repaint and fix brick. They left the work site a horrible mess. When I spoke with the owner he was also rude and disrespectful. They finally sent technician back out to clean site and repair the rain gutters he cut (and left exposed directly over dog door exit). It was a terrible experience. When we recently moved into a new home and needed a new door installed we went with a new company and the experience was superb

My home had been broken into and my back door had been kicked in. I needed a replacement quickly decided to get a doggy door. The owner came and gave me an esitmate and hired him. He said it would not be necessary to replace the door frame and would only need to replace the door. I had to wait a few days for the work to be done. The came to install the door and brought a new hire in training with him to help do the work. He got the new hire started and then left him there to finish on his own. The next day I noticed the lock was not catching and it wasn't closing properly. i called to ask them to come back out and they came and made some adjustments but it did not resolve the problem. The adjustments consisted of adding an extra, what I think is called a strike plate, to door, and some other adjustments were made as well. The problem still was not resolved and I had them come out again. On the next trip out, the owner determined that the hole that had been made into the door for the knob/lock was not quite in the right place and he would have to replace it with another door and replace the frame and said it cost me another $175.
I complained that it was his error and should not cost me more. i also reminded him that the first time he came out to give me a quote I questioned him specifically about whether he would be replacing the fram and he said it would not be necessary. He argued with me about this point and said I told him not to replace the frame. That was not the case. I simply followed his advice and had asked about replacing a frame because I had received a quote from another company that had told me it would be necessary. I was trying to determine if he was cutting corners or the other company wanted to do unecessary work.
I thoguht it very unprofessional the way he argued with me, talked over me, and even spoke to me in a bit of a condescening manner when I raised my concerns.
I ended up paying extra, to get the replacement because I was desperate to get it resolved quickly so I could secure my house. But, I never felt that I was treated fairly. he said that the new hire was part of his problem and that his new hire had quit on him putting him behind, and he had a problem retaining good help.
When he brought the replacement, it was an unfinished door, that I would have to paint myself. I accepted, even though I had paid for a finished door, simply to get something in place so I could secure my home with out spending much more money.
The threshold at the bottom of the door now feels weak, and is not as sturdy as it was before.

The owner, Louis responded to my online inquiry promptly and scheduled a visit to discuss. He was on-time and very professional. He brought dog door options with him for me to view/compare. I opted for the and quot;security bossand quot; design due to the appearance and more so the locking feature. He chose placed the dog door low for my pugs and yet made it tall to accommodate my boxer. The top of the door I had a full panel glass without blinds since it goes out to a covered patio. I paid 50% down at time of order. The delivery time was estimated at 3-4 weeks. It was ready early, so Louis Jr. came out as scheduled on March 4th for the installation (two weeks after the original onsite visit). He was very courteous and quick. I had neglected to discuss changing the inside molding with Louis Sr. and he quickly took care of it by running down to the local hardware store for replacement trim. After a reasonable adjustment to my bill, I paid the balance due upon completion. I am very pleased with the installation and appearance of this door. I would highly recommend this company.

I purchased these french doors in early July but the installation did not take place until Aug, 6, 2013. Price was very high and if I had to do it again .. I would not have purchased this custom door. I have since discovered I could have gotten this done cheaper elsewhere. However,, the door was well built, windows were tinted (double pains make it a little too dark on the tint), and mini-blinds.The installer was a very pleasant young man whom I learned was the owner's son. He did a very good job with one exception .. there are two places on each door that I can see under the door when they are closed. This will have to be fixed before winter. Rain will also come in if this is not fixed.

It went well. They were on time and professional. The door has held up to my boxer's use (and abuse) for over a year now.

Great product and very professional service. Responded quickly when inquired about product/service, however lacked in responsiveness in regards to installation date. Had to call three times and leave messages on 800 number before call 972 number and speaking with someone in regards to installation date. Said they would call day before installation, however had to call again only to find out they were coming that afternoon. Overall Good Company and good product/service. I would recommend them to others and use them again in future.

I cannot praise this company enough! I had discussions and had seen sample photos of several other companies who did custom doggie doors, as well as discussed the work to be done with two other contractors. None seemed to be able to produce what I needed. Then I ran accross Doors 4 Pets and People on Angie's list. I drove to their showroom and met with the owner, Louis. It was a fabulous showroom with numerous samples of various types of doggie doors. Louis spent more than an hour with me discussing my specific needs for not only my two dogs, but also the custom french door that I needed to match my other two doors. I purchased a specialized doogie door that is going to work for my needs. If it were not for being able to see all the options in the showroom, I would not have known of the door that is going to be great for my dogs and my house. Louis then came out to my house to take photos of my doors, take measurements, and match trim and color with my existing doors. The installation itself went perfectly. Louis and team did a fantastic job of designing the perfect door for my needs and matching it to my other doors. The customized french door and doggie door were worth every penny. Everyone on Louis' team who helped me in this process was professional, responsive, and caring. A job well done!! Thank you Doors 4 Pets and People!!!! You made everyday life for me and my two dogs much better.

I was visiting the Dallas area looking for a home as I was being transferred from the Northwest to Texas by my company. My father and I ran across the business Doggie doors for pets and people too. We went inside and spoke to Louis and Shelly and were very pleased with what they had to offer. Once I purchased a house Louis went to the home to ensure he was able to place the new doors where I wanted them. He measured and confirmed it could be done. As I was still in the NW, I worked closely with Louis and Shelly to schedule the installing of the doors the day I arrived in Texas. The job was done as expected on the day and time we agreed upon. I am very please with their installation and service, and feel good that my Silky Terrier and Yorkie have their freedom to come and go as they please!

The company representative (and owner) came out and did an estimate for us, and offered that we had two options--replacing the window and adding the dog door ($750), or replacing the whole french door unit (both sides) ($1200). The price for replacing the doors entirely was reasonable and not much more than the basic repair/door price, and we decided that we'd go ahead and spend the extra in order to have a nice complete new door with a built-in dog door. The door was ordered with a built-in dog door and the entire french door was replaced. It took only a couple of hours in the afternoon to do the replacement. The installers found that they had to build up the step/threshold slightly and went out for wood to do it but that they took in stride and were able to do it quickly.
Now that the door has been in for two weeks our dog is regularly using it without any trouble. The separate dog door has cut back on our energy costs by reducing the amount of air coming in from outside. We are very happy with the work that was done and would hire this company again.

We were initially just looking to replace the door to our backyard with a new one with a dog door. Louis Shannon came to our home and measured our door and showed us several different options for pre-installed dog door that he would put in for us prior to installation. We found out they specialize in providing doors with dog doors but they also provide regular doors. He was so nice and professional that we asked him about the other doors in our home that we wanted wanted replaced and he gave us a catalog to choose from. We had looked at other doors on-line and at the regular box stores but couldn't find what we wanted. He had just what we were looking for and and a great price. They ordered, built and installed all three doors within 3 weeks and earlier than expected. I highly recommend this company because they are a family owned business that truly cares about getting it right. Not to mention Louis is just a really, really nice guy! They are based out of Lewisville, TX but also service Austin and San Antonio along with the DFW area.
