Wood N Deed

After 6 months all the caulked places on the outside of the house were black with mold. The siding is in bad need of repainting. Windows were not caulked on top and one leaked and ruined the paint and sheetrock in one bedroom. We could not get them to come back even though their contract says you have a 5 year warranty.

It went very well. The crew was 2 gentleman that worked very hard, always on time, kept the house area clean and picked up at the end of the day. The final work was just what I had in mind and our house looks great.

He installed new windows. He installed some siding. He painted the whole house, exterior painting. I have a problem with some of the windows. The screens don't fit. I understand that he didn't make the windows but he should stand behind them since he was the one that installed them. The windows fit, it's the screens that don't fit. They pop out at the corners because they are a little bit too small. I have one that has a cut out in the frame and I don't know why. It looks like somebody took a saw and cut a piece out of the window. It's not structurally a problem, it's just aesthetic. The siding needs a second coat of paint. He said that he put on two coats but I've had it looked at and the paint has mildewed and we are having to have the house repainted. Not all of it, just parts of it. He had several people out there and they were all fine. They did what he told them to do. They cleaned up pretty well, I didn't have any problem with that. I'm very unhappy with his work. I ran into him at a store and I told him that I had a problem and he told me that he would call me and set up a time to come out but it's been 6 months ago.

They are an excellent company. Very trustworthy and stand by their work. They are very knowledgeable.

The roof was replaced find, but they forgot to cut the roof vent slots. They did come back and cut some of them from the inside, but could only cut some of them, due to location! So I have had to live with situation for over ten years. Just had a new roof put on with the vents cut correctly, what a difference! I did call them for a bid service, call never returned. I was not going to comment on this, but this was the third request.

Love them! They listen to what you want and get it done.

They are awesome. They did a fabulous job. We used them about six months ago. They did two bathrooms into one giant bathroom. It was gorgeous. They were the lowest price that we were scared. Most of the quotes we got are coming in $45,000 to $50,000, it was big difference so we were worried about it. He's not a big business but he has really good contractors, he knows who to call and he shows up when he said. Everything turned out well and they are spectacular. We bought our own materials even with that our whole job came in around $30,000. They would let use their contractor's license to go pick out whatever we wanted and we would buy it and there was no mark up.

Very good job in the timeframe quotes. They take pride in their work.

In both cases the owner always showed up for the job when his workers were there, all his workers could communicate clearly, all were professional and masters in their field, the phone service provided was immediate, he quoted a date he would begin, and it began on that date. He finished as he had promised. The owner and the workers all have a pride in the work that they do. They left the job completely finished, cleaned, and in better condition that when they arrived. I feel he is one of the best contractors we have ever used, and we have been renovating our homes and rentals for 30 years!
