I have been using them for three or four years. The first time I used them I had a thermostat issue. They were replacing the thermostat for me.

A friend recommended Roy's Air Conditioning because my A/C unit was not working.  I called the office and they actually answered the phone and could not have been more willing to help.  Excellent office staff.  They sent Tom out that same day.

As I suspected, the fan motor would need to be replaced.  Instead of just putting any motor on my unit, Tom took the time to call the manufacturor of the unit to get the proper motor.  He returned within a day or two to replace the fan and that's where the problems began.  AFTER installing the new motor, he informed me that there was a large puncture hole in my copper tubing inside the unit.  I am not sure how you could have replaced the motor and not noticed a hole where this hole was located.  If it was there when he came over the first time, why didn't he notice it before ordering the new fan and say something to me?  No one touched that unit other than him and his helper.
I agreed to have him patch the hole and recharge the unit with freon, with the understanding that there was a chance that it might not work.  I paid him the $887.00 and he completed the work and said it was fixed, however, later that night it was obvious that the a/c was not working.

After calling the office to report that my unit wasn't cooling properly, they sent Tom back out to check it out that day.  I knew my unit was outdated and would have to be replaced someday and I think that Tom was just trying to save me some money and see if he could fix my old unit and keep it running.  However, he tried to restart the unit and it wouldn't start at all, even with the new fan motor.  So, I spent $877.00 for nothing.
Tom gave me a quote for a new condenser and coil for $6,714 (which supposedly included a discount because of the $887 I had already paid).  His quote did NOT include replacing my duct work that was installed in 1978.  I found that rather odd because I knew that my duct work was in bad shape.  I feel like he would have come out and replaced the units and then said I needed the duct work replaced for another $3,000 (when I asked that is what he said it would cost if they had to replace the duct work).  I feel like he was trying to cut corners on the work, but not on the price and nickel and dime me.
I called another a/c company who replaced the condenser, the coil, all the duct work, installed a separate breaker box, and new concrete pad for less that Roy's quoted me for just the condenser and coil.
Their office staff is very nice and Tom was polite, but I don't think he was very competent and in trying to save me money, he actually cost me money.  I would advice you to get quotes from other companies before having these people do any work for you.  I feel like I got taken by the mystery whole in the copper tubing.

I've used them for years. They were excellent. They were very prompt and very considerate people. I can't say enough about Roy's air conditioning. I am not using them currently because I have a home warranty now.

We called on Monday morning about 8:30; the tech was here at 9:15. Tom is competent, professional, and easy to work with. The problem took a bit longer to fix than any of us would have liked, but it was a problem with availability of the particular part from the manufacturer, rather than any problem with Roy's Air Conditioning. At every step, we were kept in the loop on what was happening. The part arrived today, as promised, and the tech has just left after installing it. We have air! We will, absolutely, call this company again the next time we have AC problems.

We have used Roy's Air Conditioning since Roy owned it-- I'm guessing we began as clients in 1982. I can't Paul joined the team soon after and he's been our and quot;go toand quot; person ever since. It's a beautiful day in Montgomery County-- I think that's how the phone is answered. This particular event started on Friday afternoon-- when I walked in from work I could tell that the house was very warm and the thermostat confirmed that the temp was 80 degrees.
We are in the middle of a major remodel and I first called them to see if they had been working on anything electrical. They had and sent out their person to see if he could get it up and running-- he did, but it didn't last so we called Roy's and set up an appointment for Saturday morning.
Paul came out himself, called first to give me his ETA and by 10:00 my air was back on. A capacitor had blown and he luckily had one on his truck-- so within 30 minutes all was well and good. At a very reasonable price -- and as far as I can tell, no extra charge for and quot;emergency service.and quot;
We have relied on Roy's for years and will continue to rely them! Paul is an amazing man and it's a joy doing business with him.

I would recommend ROYS AIR CONDITIONING. We used them last in October of last year. We have used them in the past for years. We have had nothing but good experiences with them. We've had other A/C systems repaired at time. Their punctuality, their pricing, their professionalism is all A+ as far as we are concerned.

During the February cold snap, of course our heater went out. They came out the same day, quickly determined it was the fuse and got it going again. The best part was the repairman took the time to write out a detailed explanation for my husband who was not home when they came out. Plenty of opportunity to take advantage of my lack of knowledge, but they never even made me feel like I needed to worry about that. We have used them for ac issues too in the past and have been equally pleased.
