Quality Insulation

Contractor was supposed to remove insulation and then come back to blow in new insulation after drywall was installed. They came out and put batting in the ceiling, but didn’t remove the insulation, which was the most important thing that needed to be done because of a mildew smell that was becoming noticeable. I called Mike and he sent his crew back out again to supposedly remove the insulation, but I went out there after they left and half of the insulation hadn't been removed, plus they left a big bag of insulation in the attic. I called Mike again and he said their insulation vacuum was in Dallas and wouldn't be back until the middle of next week, so his crew had to remove the insulation by hand. Had I known that was the plan from the start, I never would have hired them. I made it very clear that I needed the insulation removed by 07/29/16, now I’m going to have to do the job myself. I gave them a $300 cash deposit, which was a mistake. Mike seems like a nice guy, but nice isn't a substitute for doing a good job.
