PRIDE KENNELS

We had a wonderful experience with Pride Kennels. Pennie was wonderful! We called several times and if she didnt answer right away, she would call soon after. We left our two dogs in her care, one of which is a puppy. When we picked them up they were clean, happy, and didnt bolt for the door right away which is always good :). The property is nice and they dogs have a nice, fenced in secure yard to run around in. We will be returning here in the future.

We had been using Pride Kennels several times and each time our dogs would come back 10 lbs lighter than they were when we left them. On the last visit there we get a phone call on our way back into town that one of our dogs had a 4 inch cut down their side. The owner then told us, it was more like a gash and that she would be fine to be picked up 6 hours later when we had planned on picking them up. We told her to take our dog to our vet in Conroe and not wait. She then continued to tell us that she thinks our other dog had bit her. We urged her to take our dog to the vet and called our vet ahead of arrival so they could tell us what was going on.
Our vet called us 2 hours later after our dog had gone into surgery. Yes Surgery. We were then told how the 4 inch gash was a 6 inch wide 7 inch tall gash behind her shoulder and that it was a clean wound that was not a dog nite. Also, that they had to remove some of the tissue due to the wound being at least 24-36 hours old. Meaning the injury had taken place and the Owner did nothing about our dogs injury until then next morning when we were coming home.
When questioned about the events that took place the Kennel Owner said little and never said she was sorry or gave much explination on what could have taken place. Our vet says that our dog was cut by something or someone. And that no one would ever know except the kennel owner and the dogs. We have never taken our dogs back and have warned people about this place. It may be cheap but the vet bills wont be.

We have 1 6 year old blue heeler mix and one 4 month old lab mix and have used Pride Kennels to board our dogs on numerous occasions. Every time we go, my dogs are sooo excited to see Pennie. They shoot out of the car and run in to her arms. They know a dog lover when they see one! The kennel is not the most convenient location for us, but it's worth the trek in exchange for peace of mind while we are away. There's no and quot;dog smelland quot; because the runs are out in the fresh air (with a climate controlled building) and They must be really diligent about picking up fecal matter because we've never seen any even though we don't call before showing up! Additionally, we really like that they get yard time 6 times a day because my energetic puppy is always exhausted when we bring them home! Pride Kennels truly is a and quot;home away from homeand quot; that is reasonably priced with quality service!

The best way to describe our experience is to say that our dog loves to go back. I don't think you can get a better recommendation than that.

This kennel is great! I have been using them for a couple of years now as we travel to Europe a lot. My dog has stayed here for as long as 30 days. They have indoor/outdoor run, air conditioning and heating, ponds and each kennel is about half an acre. The kennels are very clean and they never smell! The staff lets the animals out about 7 or 8 times a day and they are very good with all of them.
