PERKINS CARPET CO

Absolutely a horrible experience from beginning to end.
Floor installed was NOT the flooring we had chosen. We had chosen a cypresswood laminate and a  
No contract specifying the flooring to be installed, the cost, the warranty, and the method of payment was supplied even though we were assured it would be supplied at the time the installation was to begin..
Moreover, we had only met Mr. Perkins when he came to our home to take measurements.  He came here with his intermediary.  All of his communications at that time were with her.  It was as is we did not exist
He NEVER appeared during the installation nor did he ever appear following the installation even though he had been apprised of how unhappy we were.
His installers departed leaving my home in a filthy mess.  The damage to the wood trim and paint in my home was significant.  Even though his intermediary stated these problems would be corrected, nothing was ever done, requiring my having to hire another contractor to effect the needed repairs.
The turn-key price which was quoted by his intermediary was not that which he billed.
 He has never had the courtesy to respond to the letters (which were sent to him via Certified Mail, return receipt) in which I clearly stated my dissatisfaction with this installation.  Since he failed to contact me in an attempt to resolve these problems, I turned this matter over to my attorney to seek legal redress; and, true to form, he has totally ignored the letters which my attorney sent him. 
I am a 72 year old disabled Vietnam Veteran.  I have utilized several contractors during my 28 year residency at this address and cannot recall ever having had such an experience as I have had with Mr. Perkins and his intermediary.  All in all, this has been a horrible, horrible experience.

I had looked at carpet at Home Depot & Lowes, but decided I would rather support a local small business. So I ended up at Perkins Carpet. Jimmy was very helpful in helping me find just what I was looking for. I took home some samples, and ordered from him the next day. About a week later, the installers came & put it in. They were great. Sometimes I feel a little uncomfortable with strangers in my home, but did not feel uncomfortable with them at all. They did a great job, and even ripped out the carpet in the hallway for me even though they weren't installing carpet there. I appreciated that.
All in all, it was a great experience. I LOVE my carpet, and am happy I went with Perkins.

Perkins Carpet did an excellent job in my home. They installed it properly with no visible tacks. There are no seams that I can see and no snags. The people that came out were good enough people. They were very quiet and respectful. They were on time and finished in a timely manner.
