"This is incorrect, customer had existing patio that was poured by the builder of the home, we tried to get them to let us remove it and pour new deck up against the home while pouring the deck around the pool. The did not want to spend the money, being the deck was poured by the builder we did not want to drill into it and install rebar figuring the builder did not use rebar and knew it would break their deck. We warned them up front there was a good chance the deck would move and no longer be level they did not believe us, after a couple of weeks their existing deck dropped causing the decks to not be level. After looking at it and even though we had told them I under stood if this was at my house I would be devastated if it was mine so I decided I would rip out at the deck on the pool at my expense and poor it again. Their yard has a lot of ground movement being it is in gumbo. They did say they had a chipped tile in the waterline, I sent the tile guys to replace it, they looked and looked and could not find a chipped tile, they complained again so I sent tile guys back and they still could not find it, the third time I told them to show the guys the tile please, the chip was so small we could barley see it. We changed it. With the gound moving so much which we have no control over and can not warranty anything from ground movement that the deck has caused a few pieces of flagstone to come loose, even though this was not warranty I sent the guys to fix the flagstone at no charge. Right after the guys got it mortared down and grouted a storm came in they loaded up and left and was going to return the next day to re-grout because the rain was so heavy it washed it off. About two hours later we get the most hateful email saying how bad it looked and how much trouble this was to them. At this point I realized there are some people you can not please and just go though life hating the world and this was a good time to just walk away. None of the work we preformed was covered under warranty, I have over $4000.00 in fixing their deck alone not from anything our fault but our customer service is more important."
