I resorted to Angie's List after personal referrals proved fruitless. We chose 5 Smooth Stones based on the reviews and, let me tell you, we are so glad we did. Mr. Barnett acompanied us to the store and advised me in the selection of a new kitchen light fixture. This took some time, as I am rather indesicive and had lots of questions. He was patient in this process, as well as careful, thorough and clearly skillful in the execution of his tasks. Further, he patched up a drywall blemish in the ceiling, not on the to-do list; he just 'noticed It'. We plan on calling 5 Smooth Stones for more work after the holidays. The price was far lower than the value provided.

Refashioned a new table leg that looked almost exactly like the original. We were very pleased and have already discussed some other projects we would like to have done around the house including some electrical switch repairs and hanging closet doors. Mr. Barnett was very courteous and stayed in contact while the work was being completed.

We were very pleased with Mr. Barnett's response to our inquiry and extremely pleased with the work he performed. He charged by the hour and we really got our money's worth. He shopped for all the parts needed and worked methodically and diligently on all the different small jobs we needed completed. We will definitely have him out again. We plan on getting a bid from him to do some rearrangement of office space that will require heavier construction. We have every confidence that he will do a great job when we are ready for the project to be performed. Our tenant has also hired him to do some work on their office space as well.

Clifford is great. Very competent guy with a great attitude. He's given me advice on a couple of occasions since I'm a bit of a DIYer. Haven't found anything yet that he can't do. He'll tackle anything and will come back at no charge if something he's done hasn't worked out. Charges $40/hour plus parts and will go to the store if there's something he needs that you don't have on hand and isn't in his standard toolkit. He's also been flexible with my schedule, even though he doesn't normally like to work after 5pm. He's a bit old school in that he doesn't like to text, just phone calls and email, but that's part of his charm.

Mr. Barnett was great to work with. After looking at what we wanted done, he started right to work caulking the exterior windows on our back patio. After completing that task he moved on to the two bedrooms where he removed the existing ceiling fans and installed the new fans that we had purchased. He worked quickly and efficiently and it was obvious that he knew what he was doing. Considering the quality of his work and the reasonableness of his prices we definitely will use him again. In fact, before he left, we mentioned to him that we were thinking about replacing our front door and he was kind enough to take some measurements for us and make some suggestions about how we might save money by replacing the glass insert and not the entire door. We look forward to working with him again in the future.
