Southwest Shade Solutions is a family owned business and was started by Ellen and Joe Newton in 1993. We are dedicated to delivering a very high quality of customer service and products to our customers. Every retractable awning we sell and install is backed by our outstanding reputation along with the manufactures 5, 10 or 12-year warranty. Southwest Shade Solutions is the only retractable awning and retractable solar screen provider in the DFW Metroplex that not only provides experience and total commitment to our customers, but also has proven results in the area to merit your business. We have a home office that faces east and gets direct morning and early afternoon sun. In the summers the brick wall heats up and the room is much warmer than the rest of the house. It needed an awning and after doing considerable research of firms in the DFW area we chose Southwest Shade Solutions. They installed a 20 foot retractable awning and their entire team (site assessment, office staff, and installers) are very professional and we especially liked the after-installation warranties they offered. We were in no way disappointed with our choice and we definitely recommend SSS without reservation if you want a good company that stands behind their quality products.

We had set an appointment to meet with [Member name removed] at her house to give her an estimate for the installation of our products. Our representative called [Member name removed] on 4/23/15 when on the way to her home for the estimate, she responded she had cancelled the appointment a week earlier. Unfortunately we had a miscommunication with [Member name removed] and were not aware of the cancellation. The job installation went off as planned. The installation took a day followed by a 2 hour job from their licensed electrician. The job involving trimming our parts of the cedar arbor so the side tracks for the shades to go from bottom to top. The two man crew were professional and worked hard to get the job done right the first time. These motorized shades are considered premier in the industry and they exceed our expectation.

It took them less than a month and it was faster than what they quoted. They took measurements and it was made to order. It is holding up just great. We got the thickest screen that they offer and it is good quality. We keep it more for keeping out the rain and wind than we do the sun. They did exactly what they said they would do for us.
