I don't know if this will be posted or not - but I have to be honest.  If I had gotten my money back I probably would not have said anything - because he seems to be a nice guy.  However, I have to let others know because I hired him based on reviews from this site and would not have done so if I had known what I was doing.  

Everything went well with the exception of the texturing of the walls and ceiling.  As far as a handyman, he's fine but his work texturing and painting is sub-par.  The texture on the ceilings and walls was patchy and didn't match over all.  I could understand the walls not matching the rest of the walls but there were solid lines where the taping and bedding had been done.  There were areas on the ceiling that didn't have texture and some was knocked-down and some was not.  The entire ceiling was not painted adequately.  I told him about the issues and he returned the next day to "repair" the issues and put another coat of pain on the ceiling.  However, when I looked at the ceiling (after dried) in the night time light with maps on - you could see where the ceiling not only did not have two coats of paint - but was never painted to begin with.  The texture job was bad as well.  I contacted him to request a refund and agreed to a $500 of the $750 charged for the ceiling.  At that point I believed that I could hire someone to repair it.  However, after obtaining a quote from someone whose work I have seen, I realized that it was going to cost me $1,000 to repair the ceiling.  It basically had to be floated and redone totally.  Plus the cost of paint.  I contacted Tim and asked for a refund of the $250 additional since I was now going further in the hole for repairs.  He stated that he was already at a loss on the job and could not give me any more money.  He offered the name of a painter to obtain a quote from that could do the work.  He did offer to come and repair himself, however, I explained that he had been given the opportunity to do that on the day that he returned.  he is a very nice person and appears to be able to do simple handyman things - but not texture.  I appreciate the fact that when I asked him about working on brick - he admitted that he did not know how to do that.  I only wish he would have told me that about texturing my ceilings.  P. S. - he brings his dog with him so if you have animals or do not want a dog in your house - you need to tell him that.

Tim did a great job.  He is punctual and professional.  He is very careful, neat and cleans up afterwards.  Tim is very personable and easy to work with.  He did such a good job I asked for extra business cards so I could pass them out to my family and friends.  I will continue to recommend him to anyone who needs help.  I will definitely call him whenever I need help.

Tim did a great job with digging up my old post for my downed mailbox and setting a new one in concrete before installing a new mailbox. He showed up on time and he charged me exactly as we had discussed. He was very easy to work with and very professional . I will use him in the future for other projects.

I use him all the time whenever I need any kind of work. He is like a jack of all trades. He is good with lawn work and he is quick. He charged me $25 an hour the last time I used him. He usually responds very quickly and he is reliable and trust worthy. He puts up Christmas lights and that’s how I met him. I saw him putting up Christmas lights and I thought he was doing it in his house but he wasn’t. He goes around and puts them all up. He checks them and makes sure everything works and he carries spares and whatever is needed with him in case anything needs to be replaced. He puts everything back in a box and up in the attic. He takes it down the following year. He said he started that when he was young when he was a teenager. Some guys would have the newspaper route or I will cut your lawn kind of thing and he started this with his brother. He kept that up and he puts them up really nice. I call him whenever I need something done.
