Took a laptop with a broken hinge in for repair. Seemed an easy enough task. hinge was ordered, eventually came in, but the wrong side, re-ordered correct hinge came in.

Hinge was weak because of a dent in the back bezel surrounding the screen, ordered  a new bezel and that tightened the hinge, now the monitor wouldn't light.

replaced the ribbon cable going through the hinge, no success, replaced another connector and checked all the capacitors on the motherboard for being loose. no luck.

After close to 3 and half months of trying I have a laptop with no screen, but the external VGA and HDMI ports work just fine, so it is now converted into a desktop.

The no screen is put down to a hairline crack in the mother board received when the hinge was broken, but was disturbed during the repair process.

I gotta give these guys 10 out of 10 for patience, persistence, technical research and a never give up attitude, and after all the time it took to verify all the possible failures, didn't charge me since it wasn't repaired to full working order, which I appreciated.

It went very well. The man was very attentive.

My older desktop computer needed repair, the DVD drive had stopped working.  They replaced the drive with a used part to keep the cost down and it works great.  Price was exactly as quoted, took about a week which they also told me upfront.  I'm very happy with their service and would definitely use them again.

A sign was posted fora minimum fee of $70 for the first hour but he pointed to a glass fishbowl and said to put whatever I felt the service was worth.  I dropped in a $20 bill, I hope that was okay.  He could have charged me $70.

They were very upfront about the charges but not the timing.  I put a two hour limit on what I would be prepared to spend.  They came in under that time and cost but the time it took to get the job done was longer than what they estimated.   So it cost less but took longed for me to get the computer back.

.BLUE CANDLE COMPUTERS did an excellent job.  They are a very small shop. They kept my computer and then they called me probably about an hour and half later saying that they checked everything and it is just the fan. They also said that it would be done by the next day. It was simple and easy. They were personable and friendly. I will use them again.

I accidently knocked my laptop off the sofa. Both the external ac jack and the internal ac jack wire were broken. I was quite upset because I only had the laptop for 2 months! I called Blue Candle and described the problem and they told me to come on in. When I got there, I talked with Jerry and we discussed what needed to be done and how involved it would be. Jerry said he could fix it, but it might take several hours because he had to disassemble the computer. I was anticipating a large bill for the repair. When I picked-up my laptop, I was very pleasantly surprised because the bill was only $120.00. I still have to be careful with the external ac jack, but the computer has worked great since Jerry fixed it. My overall experience was very satisfactory and I highly recommend Blue Candle Computers.

Blue Candle has superb service. They are honest, capable and really know their stuff. They are an awesome computer company to have on hand in case of problems.

THEIR PRICES ARE VERY COMPETITIVE. THEY ARE WITHIN A MILE OF HOME. THEY OFFER REGULAR SERVICE AND 'RUSH' SERVICE. THEY KEPT US INFORMED ABOUT WHAT THEY WERE DOING AND HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST. THEY WERE HONEST ABOUT WHAT THINGS WERE WORTH AND HOW THINGS COULD BE IMPROVED OR NOT.
