Four workers came on time to repair our irrigation system. After repairing the missing sprinkler head, one worker said that one section of the system wasn't working. He seemed like he wasn't sure what to do about it. I finally asked if he could fix it, and he said, "Sure." I'm not sure why he asked, since the company had been hired to repair the system. The workers were there for slightly less than an hour. The bill for $368.29 arrived with no itemization. I called and asked for an itemized bill. The owner said, "We have a minimum one hour service charge, and your bill shouldn't have been more than a couple hundred dollars." When I told him the amount, he said he would look into it. I said he could email me the new bill, and he said he likes the old-fashioned paper bill. I don't think they have a web site. The itemized bill arrived in a few days with the same charge and the following itemization: service call $85, one hour labor $105, valve 145, parts $10. I'm not sure why we were charged $85 for a service call and a separate $105 for labor. It appears that when they show up at your door, you must pay no less than $190.
