They told me they would arrive between 8:30 and 9:00 and they arrived a few minutes before 9:00.  Finally, a contractor who shows up when they say they will!
I can't remember exactly how long it took for the job, but it was a few hours.  They cleaned up after themselves as they went.  In the end there were only a few sheet rock crumbs under a few of the vents from where they had screwed them back in.
They estimated $30/vent, $30/register a.k.a. return, and $225/coils-fan-air handler in the attic.  I had 12 vents so it should have been $615 + tax = $665.74.  When they came and saw that the coils/fan/air handler weren't that dirty they gave me a discount.  I ended up paying $108.26 less than the estimate.  I thought that was pretty awesome and very honorable of them.  
That's what made me call them in the first place.  Previously I had an AC leak in the attic that leaked through my ceiling and got my brand new carpet wet.  They came to see if I had damaged the new carpet or if it was still wet.  They told me that the carpet was dry and no mold was growing, so I didn't need the carpet cleaned.  I guess they figure good deeds are repaid and it was.
Would I use them again?  Yes!  I like to have my carpets, couch, and la-z-boys cleaned once a year.  Plus Steamatic cleans grout.
Would I have my vents cleaned again?  Not any time soon.  It turns out they weren't that dirty so the dust wasn't really coming from them.  We don't smoke.  We don't burn candles.  We do have pets - two rabbits and they shed about four times a year.  We use the Filtrete 1500 3-month electrostatic filters that cost around $17 each - the ones in the purple packaging, and that helps a lot.  Plus the ducts are smooth inside (not the accordion foil-like ducts) so there isn't anything for dust to adhere to inside them. The guys showed me cell phone pictures from inside the air ducts and they said they weren't bad.  And we have lived here 14 years without cleaning the vents.  The house was built in 1966 and I don't know if the previous owners had the ducts cleaned.
Am I glad I had the ducts cleaned?  Yes!  For my peace of mind it is better to know than not know and suspect they are dirty.

It went great! I called on a Thursday, they picked up the phone right away, gave me a quote over the phone, and then came out the next morning. There was flooding in town that morning, so they called me and moved my time back just a bit so they could take the emergency calls. Then they arrived promptly at the new time.
They were professional and courteous, got right to work, finished in the amount of time they had said it would take (an hour and a fifteen minutes), I'll definitely use them again!

From the first call, everyone we worked with was customer focused. They arrived the same day we called, returned rug as scheduled, and when the tech knew the stain on our white sofa wouldn't come out....he actually said so! It is unusual in my experience to have a vendor with such honesty...they are our go-to company for all our future rug and upholstery cleaning. By the way, when the rug was delivered it looked better than the day I bought it.

This is the 2nd time we have had this issue with the air conditioner and we used this service provider the first time as well. They responded to my son's call very quickly and they did a great job. I would highly recommend them.

I recently had my heating/a-c unit replaced, but not the ductwork. Since my house is very dusty, I decided to get the air ducts cleaned. The a/c company I used recommended Steamatic to clean the air ducts and to clean the dryer vent. The price quoted over the phone seemed high to me, but I decided to give them a try. The guys showed up on time, introduced themselves and gave me an idea of what they would be doing. I showed them around and told them when the new system was installed. I was pleasantly surprised when the crew leader told me that the cost would be over $200 less than quoted over the phone since they did not need to remove and pressure wash the fans because they were new. The work took about four hours and they appeared to do a thorough job. The workers were very nice/polite young men. I asked if they could show me what the vents looked like so they took photos on their cell phones. They told me that the amount of dirt in my air ducts was actually not too bad for an older home (in comparison to others of similar age) and there was no and quot;growthand quot; that would have required further work and expenses. Overall a great experience and I will have more peace of mind that the air circulating in my home will now be cleaner.

They were able to set up an appointment on very short notice and were punctual. They moved all of the furniture out of the way in order to clean under it and then set all pieces back on wooden blocks so that drying wouldn't be an issue. We were very pleased with their professionalism and service.

My experience with the service went well. They were on time. They were here when they said they would be here. When I called, they came out readily; I didn't have a problem in scheduling them. I didn't have any complaints. I would recommend them.

Everything was cleaned as we expected them to clean. There was no sales pressure to buy additional services (e.g. enzyme treatment, sealing of tile, etc.), which we experienced from other companies before. We even received some information from Steamatic about sealing tile by myself to save some money.

Everything was clean. I asked them to do two rugs and they did an extra rug for free. They really worked hard and just charged through and they were on time.
