Child Care - Center
The teachers are outstanding! The teachers our child has had so far have all been wonderful. They have had many years of experience and they clearly enjoy what they do for a career.
Teacher turnover is very low, which is especially nice after our previous experiences with a childcare center where our kids had multiple "lead" teachers over the course of a year. Classes at Longmire are not led by part-time college students - a major plus in our book!
Campus security is pretty good, with external doors locked throughout the day and staff members immediately greeting all visitors.
The curriculum seems to be pretty good. We see that our child is learning, and teachers are more than happy to talk with us about our child's progress. Also, the kids get to go on educational outings (such as trips to the public library) and transportation to/from swim lessons is available in the summer.
Our only major complaint would be the amount and type of television our child reports watching each day. Our understanding is that this occurs early in the morning or late in the afternoon (right before pick-up time), but we wish it didn't happen at all. We also suspect that there is more TV time than this, at least on some days. This has not been the case throughout our child's time at Longmire - just the past several months have been disappointing. Other than this, we have been impressed with everything.
Overall, our experience with Longmire LC has been great, and we would recommend it to anyone seeking an educational learning center/day care for a young child aged 2-5.
