From Sales to Installation to Quality Assurance; we were advised of several options in replacing a very old system. The Installation crew (three members) arrived promptly at 8:00 am performed demolition work on the old system, and installed the new system to include a new copper line set, and were done by 3:30 pm. In our opinion record time. Everything was professional. Work ethic and attitude fabulous. New iComfort thermostat was explained by the Quality Assurance man who arrived as the installation crew was finishing. We couldn‘t be more pleased with the explanation and downloading of the app to our phones to allow remote monitoring and such features as setting of temperature while on the way home from a trip for instance.

We had an issue with a cooling coil in the interior wall that wasn't properly wrapped. Eventually it caused mildew. Barker's had a crew out immediately and located the problem. They had to tear our some sheetrock to repair the damage. The company had our sheetrock replaced and painted at no cost to us. We have had no other problem with our units.

I have used this company before, and though the technicians are always very polite and professional, they always come away telling me something major needs to be done. It is as if the technicians are instructed by their superiors to try to sell something. Invariably I don't do what they recommend and it never seems to be an issue, nor does it come up again at the next visit, even it's from a different A/C company. 10 years ago, they said I needed to replace my A/C unit which at that time was 12 years old. I called someone else for a second opinion and they fixed it for $30 and it is still running today!!! In a nutshell, I think they do good work, but they always try to sell you something else!

The customer advisor, Chuck Thompson, gave us a good deal as well as being personable and helpful throughout the whole process. They got us in quickly for the installation. The installers were on time and finished well ahead of how long I was told to expect. The person who came to inspect the installation was on time. It could not have gone better and I would unreservedly recommend them.

Technician's came to the house. Within a half hour told me the blower motor was bad but that they did not know what part this particular unit needed (even though we paid them almost $7000 to install it a few years ago) and that they couldn't do anything until Lennox opened at 8 AM the next day. The next morning I called around 8:30 AM and they said someone had been sent to Houston to pick up the part, but they had other customers and they could not install it until 7 pm, even though I originally had an appt to have it repaired the day before. Jeff said to me " it isn't fair to my customers who have appointments today to put your repair ahead of them." Hello, my appointment was yesterday AND I was charged YESTERDAY and I paid YESTERDAY. We should have known better, as we had issues with their service department from the very beginning when they installed this AC. The customer service rep who answers the phone was also very rude and repeatedly talked over me when I was expressing my opinion of how I was being treated. I suppose work that is warrantied comes behind new business. We have an appointment today at 1pm to have Siegert AC fix this warrantied air conditioner.

Barker charged me for the service call, it was a couple hundred dollars. They did not diagnosis what they should have.

They arrived on time at 730 to start working. The two guys mostly kept to themselves but worked extremely hard the whole day. The ended up leaving with everything finished at about 8pm that night. On top of that they only took a 30 minute lunch. All the work they did looked good as it went along. Towards the end of the day we noticed a hole in the ceiling close to the area they had been working in. We pointed it out to them and their supervisor came to look at it. The hole wasn't in an area they had been walking in the attic so it was unclear how it happened since their was evidence of water damage. I felt comfortable with their explanation of the problem and was appreciative that they agreed to take care of the problem at no cost to us.

Called Barker, they came out the same day and took a look.  They found a  wire that had heated up and melted into another wire, thus shutting down the refrigerant. The closeness of the wires is something that might have been caught in the check up but  maybe not. 
Barkers put in two new wires, rerouted them so they would not touch.  They did not charge me a service call of $75 but only for time and materials which came to $ 35.00.  This was very fair and I appreciate Barker's response on this. 
This is the 3rd time I have  used them and each time the experience has been very good. They are on time, polite, professional and very forthright about the problems and options. 
I will definitely use them again.  Excellent Service!
